Nolan re-created this iconic scene...

Yeah, when I saw it, I knew where that came from. I like the movie's Bane better then super-steroid Bane.

That's because Joel Schumaker completely just ruined the franchise.

On a different note, I finally saw the movie

Mors, I'm kind of with you. I was a little disappointed. I remember throughout the movie feeling like "really, this is it" and then the ending I thought did a great job of bringing it home. This one reminded me a lot of the 1st one. A lot of slow parts with story telling. Where the 2nd one was pretty much all action.

Bane I thought was done pretty well and a great little twist that everyone thought he was the child that escaped. I also like the twist that he really wasn't the one calling the shots, that kind of fit right into Bane's character since he's never really been a main villain but definitely wasn't the mindless muscle like he was portrayed in the one with Uma.

One thing that kind of confused me, but I know why it needed to be done, was that they never went and looked for the Batcave. Maybe they just assumed everything was at Wayne Towers?

I am really wondering if Nolan brings it back. Obviously Blake will be Robin, but does he go it on his own, does Batman come back, does this somehow spin into Nightwing? If he does bring it back with just Robin, where's he getting the money?

I need to go and see it again though.

I would assume that Bruce left JGL with a sizable sum to run the franchise for him.

I honestly think that if he does bring it back, I think JGL would be more of a Nightwing instead of Robin. But a part of me thinks that he would take the cowl and become the second Batman in order to keep the legend going. I do think that if the Justice League movie is going to happen, JGL should play Batman in it. I don't see Christian coming back to play him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Grayson

After the events of "Batman R.I.P." and Final Crisis, Dick moves operations to Gotham to protect the city following Bruce's apparent death. Despite Bruce's will instructing him not to, the chaos in Gotham following Bruce's disappearance prompts Dick to take up his mentor's identity once again as Batman. With Bruce's return, Dick once again picked up his previous identity as Nightwing.

With Bruce's return, Dick once again picked up his previous identity as Nightwing. But this was for a very short amount of time and then he goes back to Nightwing. I can't see Nolan making a whole movie out of it.

Because there is the big debate about who would be the ideal choice for the new Batman.

I don't have anything to add as my obsession with Batman came from Adam West to the 90s movies/cartoons....but I enjoy the "spoiler" discussion in this thread. I'm not sure if I'll see the movie again in theaters....but I do plan to buy Batman Begins on bluray so I can have the whole trilogy to watch back-to-back-to-back.

I'm pretty sure Nolan is done directing the franchise, but I thought I read a long time ago that he may produce the Batman reboot and may have his hand in any future Justice League series.

He is currently producing the Superman reboot 'Man of Steel.'

If the info above is correct and with the way TDKR ended, JGL may go on to be Nightwing in a Justice League movie. (I don't know if Nightwing was in Justice League, but I'm sure they could take some creative liberties.)

Bale has already said he's open to wearing the cowl again if there is a script and story Nolan wants to do. While the rumored Justice League script from a few years ago centered on Batman vs. Superman before focusing on the two (and others?) versus the central villain, there's also been some speculation that the 'next' Batman may get launched from the Justice League.

However, I can see the Justice League story centering on Superman, Nightwing, some other heroes.....with finally Batman (Bale) coming back in the later stages of the film. How cool would that be?

Perhaps not likely, but WB has a dilemma on their hands. They want a Justice League film badly (and sooner than later), yet Nolan's established Batman series just ended and the new Superman is in the works. IMHO (and I'm no comic book expert), a Justice League film won't take off with a new Batman as well as it would if Bale returned. If Nolan is involved, I'd say anything is possible.

Then again, if the new Superman flops, any Justice League film is probably dead in the water. WB & DC are likely praying nightly for that film to take off.

WESTLAKE, Ohio - A North Ridgeville man was arrested Saturday night after police say he brought weapons into a Westlake movie theater.

Scott A. Smith, 37, entered the 10 p.m. showing of 'The Dark Knight Rises' at Crocker Park Regal Cinemas with a bag full of ammo and knives, according to Westlake police.

Jeremiah Bullins, an off-duty Westlake police officer, noticed and searched Smith's bag. He found three knives in the bag, as well as a loaded 9 mm Glock handgun, two additional loaded magazines, and a fourth knife under his clothes. Each magazine had 17 rounds.

Police said Smith was the first person in the theater at the time of his arrest but up to 80 people would have been there 20 minutes later. He was sitting in the last row in a middle seat. This was a “tactical position,” according to officers, his back to the wall and facing out.

They said Smith made no threats and was taken into custody without incident.

Smith has a wife and 1-year-old child, according to police. They said they searched his North Ridgeville home and found many weapons, including eight additional guns, lots of ammo, a gas mask and bulletproof vest.

Smith was charged Monday with four counts of carrying various weapons for each of the knives, one count of carrying a concealed weapon with no permit for the glock and one count of carrying a weapon while having a disability.

Westlake Police Detective Lieutenant Ray Arcuri told CNN Smith has no criminal record but was in the military for "a very short time." Arcuri also said Smith was on medication but the type cannot be released.

Police said they do not yet know a motive.

Smith is being transferred to a county jail and may be arraigned Wednesday.

The incident comes just more than two weeks after 12 people were killed when James Holmes allegedly opened fire at a midnight showing of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in Aurora, Colorado.

We've been hearing whispers and rumors for weeks now about what we might see on The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray, and finally Warner Bros. shed some light on the much-anticipated release. Announced exclusively through EW.com, The Dark Knight Rises will come to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download December 4, 2012.

According to EW, the set will include "a bunch of extras, from a documentary about the Batmobile, where all five Batmobiles are together for the first time, to Ending the Knight, an in-depth look featuring about 17 featurettes at how Nolan and his production team made The Dark Knight Rises, from Batman vs. Bane to totally demolishing a city street. Both the Blu-ray and DVD include a featurette called The Journey of Bruce Wayne. There are also trailers and art galleries."

And just like The Dark Knight before it, which got a nifty Limited Edition Bat Pod box set, Rises will also get an exclusive Limited Edition set, featuring a snazzy statue of the broken Bat Cowl.

No word yet on pricing, tech specs or bonus feature specifics, but it does look like those long-rumored deleted scenes will not be part of the set. Perhaps they're tucked away in the 17 featurettes. The Blu-ray combo pack will also feature a DVD copy and UltraViolet cloud streaming digital copy.
