Army with 70 points and the first 11 win season in Army history. Houston, they just gave up 70 points to a triple option team.

It took a while, but Clemson looks poised to blow out ND, up 23-3 at halftime.

Better team won but I am proud that OU did not give up when they were down 28-0. They made it a game in the second half and the offense made up for the slow start and showed they could more than compete with the Bama defense. The OU defense on the other hand, it can't get worse. Not all of that was on the defensive players. Stop the slant route for dummies 101 should have been required reading at the half by the coaches. Lincoln also made a few questionable decisions, like the two FG's. Bama did not cover the spread, so there is that. ;)

Hopefully they can find a sold defensive coordinator out there and we can play well on both sides of the ball next season.

I am back from Miami. Muxh us made if OU's secondary but the dline is worse. There is below average talent across the board and zero depth.

You just cannot demand an offense put up 50+ every game as eventually you have an off night. Time to pull out the checkbook and use all that cash money Dr CLW and I have been giving the Sooners the past 3 years

I did find it funny that after returning from Miami the only mail I got was my bill for next season.

I know we're heading fast to an eight team playoff, but last night was the poster-child that maybe the BCS/old two-team system would have sufficed. If teams three & four can't stay on the field, what would five through eight look like?

Apparently ratings (at least for part of Cotton Bowl) dropped significantly from last year. Kind of surprising with national brand like Notre Dame back in the mix. Maybe there's that fatigue from seeing Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma back in the field again?

There have been 10 Semi-Finals now and only TWO have been decided by <10 points - OU/UGA and OSU/Bama

Of course competitiveness or lack there of is not going to decide the fate of expansion of the playoff. The ONLY consideration is can the powers that be and ESPN (or whoever buys the rights when the current contract is up) make more money off of expanding it.

For whatever its worth, I think OU was competitive with Bama just not as good due to its clearly inferior talent on their defense. I also think OU will keep it closer than Clemson does in a week.
