Thanks, Smooth.

Lamar Jackson sure made Louisville look competent the last few years. They look rough this year and are trailing 14-0 at home to GT currently.

Our defense is embarrassing. This is a Texas team that only scored 19 at KSU. Part of me hopes we lose this game so Mike Stoops can finally get fired. If OU does not score, Texas gets the ball to start the 2nd half and the game could be over.

Well, Texas may not be back to being the good Texas of the 2000s, but they are back to being good enough to take a dump on Oklahoma's season.

When OU tied the game up at 45 and there was still 2 minutes left on the clock I knew it was over. Did a Google and it says Mike Stoops is still employed. :dunno:

Misery loves company. Navy gets ass blasted by the Air Force. Nebraska gets ass blasted by Wisc... Well, we have to wait and see on that one.

I honestly even forgot Navy was playing today. I was busy with stuff to get done and between running up to work for an hour and a half this afternoon and then coming dinner, I never even thought about the Navy game. Eh, they're not good this year anyways. They'll be lucky to even win 6 games.

As for Nebraska. I'm starting to wonder if they're gonna go winless. I'm not seeing any obvious easy wins on their schedule. Northwestern I have pegged as a loss. Minnesota they could maybe win. Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan State and Iowa, those are all losses.

Their only realistic chance for a win this season is Bethune-Cookman on October 27th. And even that one I wouldn't mark down in the win column ahead of time. :D

The way teams have played the last few weeks, I almost think MSU could be more winnable than Northwestern or Illinois.

Aside from their season opener, Bethune-Cookman appears to put up points so that game could be a bit of a shootout. Right now, Nebraska's defense and special teams are walking disasters & penalty machines and while the offense has improved the last few weeks, they seem to only put up points in the second half when trailing. If they don't figure out a way to get a good start, I'm thinking a one-win season (at best) is on the horizon.

Just came here to post that. Some speculation Ruffin McNeil may take over, at least on an interim basis.

They really ought to promote Bob Diaco from analyst to DC.

We all thought they had already hit rock bottom a week or two ago, but I have a feeling that hole is about to get a lot deeper.

And it'll be interesting to see what Oklahoma does. Anything has to be an improvement over the defense under Mike Stoops recently.

I think some guy on Dirtburlgers said it best.

Apparently when Lincoln confronted him, Mike was standing 12 yards away from him.

I see what you did there. We should not want anything that has had it's hands on a Texas Tech or Nebraska defense in the past 10 years. Sadly reports of him and Ruffin are being considered. I want to clean house at the end of the season. That said, both are still better than Mike.

I was joking, but prepare for "The Strain", bdoughty & OU.

I wonder if OU's AD will bring in coaches from other sports to show them 'the best coach on campus' in Diaco?

(Last year in Lincoln: According to sources in three sports, [then Husker AD Shawn] Eichorst encouraged Husker coaches to visit football practice and watch Diaco in action because “he’s the best coach on our campus.” Source: OWH (https://www.omaha.com/huskers/football/barfknecht-huskers-lack-tom-osborne-and-former-administration-s-internal/article_8294ab84-c802-11e7-b611-5b958b55918c.html))

I'm waiting for UTEP to get a home win before NU gets one anywhere which would put the Huskers as the school with longest losing streaks in the country. That would truly be rock bottom, IMO.
