Probably worth noting that the numbers in the OP don't include game pass downloads. These are full game sales. The total would be higher if you include Game Pass players.

Seriously, that's amazing they had the best selling game in May, especially considering it didn't officially release until May 22nd. They only had a little over a week to rack up that amount of sales vs games that had all month.

Between the # of sales numbers needed to top the list of best selling in May, plus joining Microsoft Game Studios, the future of State of Decay is looking bright. Get the bugs fixed up in this one, plus some quality of life additions, and whatever DLC they have planned, and it should be golden. Then start working on State of Decay 3. Make it even bigger and even better. Hell, instead of having three maps, have all three maps combined. Dear god, something like State of Decay on a map like GTA V's. I'm drooling. Hell, even half the size of GTA V. Fuck, even just a quarter. That would be a massive map to explore and do shit in. Could easily have dozens of base options.

Exactly, this game has nowhere to go but up. MS knows this and will make sure that it becomes a staple in it's First Party Lineup. Now just waiting on a Forza Horizon/State of Decay crossover. ;)
