I will be watching from home with my hands over my eyes every time we are on defense. My sisters will be there at the Cotton Bowl, also with their hands over their eyes every time OU is on defense.

Lowly South Alabama taking it to Troy @ Troy 9-0 at the half.

Yeah I saw that but this Ohio St team is tough to judge. Look at their schedule (Indiana, UNLV, Army, Rutgers and Maryland) they have played nobody outside of OU (good luck polishing that turd of a loss after what happened last week in Norman) and the big win at Maryland is because the Terps are down to their 3rd or 4th string QB. If I gambled, I would easily take Nebraska and the points. I can see where this is a hard one for Cornhusker fans. An Ohio St blowout and you are inches away from Riley getting fired. Where a victory could get him another year with a few more wins.

I do love the Elevenwarriors game posters. That and their kick-ass band are the only things I like about THE Ohio State University.

Wow what a Friday night of games I completely missed. I could see the possibility of a Cal upset but it was a flat out ass-whopping. Clemson, this was the shocker.

I kind of had the same thoughts about NU-tOSU last year where the Buckeyes rarely played to potential, but they played to potential in winning 62-3. There's some bad blood between the staffs, at least between the two WR coaches. The tOSU coach seemed to get butthurt a few years back over a recruit (don't even remember who right now) and he regularly sub-tweets passive-aggressively at Keith Williams of NU....even after Williams got a DUI, IIRC.

I watched the CLEM-SYR game, but missed Cal-WSU. Didn't see that coming at all.

Will this be an entire weekend of upsets or will Friday night serve as a wake-up call for the rest of the ranked teams?

Let me type up that Week 8 headline for you. Unranked Navy goes for their second loss in a row against the best team in Florida. A team that destroyed Memphis. So yeah, Navy will be going for their third loss in a row in Week 9 @ Temple

OU won, how nice. I have never seen a game so poorly officiated. Texas was holding on every other play and we did not get any calls until the end. OU should have put the dagger in when they were up 17-0 but Texas played well on defense and while most of his big runs were assisted by excessive holding, Ehlinger is a tough SOB. TCU looked good today, normally I would say we are fortunate to be playing them in Norman...

Starting to think I was giving Nebraska too much credit or Ohio St not enough. Not looking good in Lincoln right now.

http://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/21033006/nebraska-cornhuskers-name-washington-state-bill-moos-new-athletic-director

Nebraska announced the hiring of athletic director Bill Moos, who vowed to return the Cornhuskers to a position of "the hunted" in college football. Moos, 66, comes from Washington State, where he has led the athletic department since 2010 after serving in the same role at Oregon from 1995 to 2007.

Moos said he's familiar from their time together in the Pac-12 with Riley, who coached at Oregon State for 14 season before arriving at Nebraska in 2014. The new AD said he looks forward to visiting soon with the embattled coach.

"As we speak right now, he's my football coach," Moos said. "I'm going to support him and certainly hope for some victories here toward the latter part of the season."

Speculation about a coaching change has already started at Nebraska. The appointment of Moos figures to spark discussion about Mike Leach, whom Moos hired at Washington State in 2011.

Moos described Leach on Sunday as "a brilliant individual."

No clue what to think on the hire. Has to be better than Pederson or Eichorst (two of last three ADs), but that's not saying much. The other two basically wrecked NU football.
