    Need For Speed Payback

Looks like a solid GameFly rental for me to mess around with.

I got to play the scene you saw at EA Play, I loved how differently the Mustang handled from the super car.

I was chatting with one of the devs at EA Play and the super car actually exists, 80 of them were made and it costs $2M to buy.

Got the game and I'm going to be doing some videos for EA here, if there is anything specific you'd like to see, let me know.

I've heard the progression system (and maybe even microtransactions?) are hurting this one. Any truth to that, JB?

Yeah how does EA's pay to win scheme work in this one?

I'll do some digging, I am almost to where things are open world for me now after the linear story start. My longer USB cable to record game footage will be in tomorrow so I'll definitely be playing a lot over the next week to get some videos made.

Less than two weeks after the release of Ghost Games' Need for Speed Payback, the team has pushed an update to the game that effectively speeds up players' progression through the game's systems by increasing rewards of in-game currencies.

What makes this particular update interesting is how it potentially lowers pressure players feel to spend real money (via "Speed Points" premium currency) to speed up their progression; this change comes amidst a flurry of updates aimed at similarly easing players' progression through Star Wars Battlefront II.
