Madden NFL 17 - Presentation Improvements

    Madden NFL 17 Presentation Improvements

Madden NFL 17 on Xbox One and PlayStation®4 brings even more authenticity to Broadcast Presentation this year. From the beginning sequence of heading into game you will notice the “rock concert” feel that you see so often on real NFL Broadcasts.

We aimed to immerse you from beginning to end with updated stadiums and jumbotrons from across the league - adding another layer to the look and authenticity of each venue.Broadcast and Presentation is all about getting you closer to the action and with our new lineups introduction you will see even more swagger and personality than ever before in Madden NFL 17. We're able to do things that push the limits of what broadcast wishes it could do.

Some of the most exciting plays in the NFL occur near the pylons in each corner of the endzone. Now, in Madden NFL 17 we have introduced Pylon cameras that bring you down to field level and make you feel the intensity of the games biggest moments. We continue to push for innovation beyond your typical Broadcast to deliver the most authentic experience to date. Whether a sideline toe tap catch, or dive into the corner of the endzone, the Madden NFL 17 Pylon camera will bring added depth to this years game.

In Madden NFL 17 we have introduced new cameras as well as speed ramping into the shots we capture on field. We will now show off that amazing user catch with an impactful super slow motion moment to represent what you see on NFL Broadcasts. See the play from every angle and relive your games top moments. Additionally we've extended our broadcast graphics package into replays highlighting the playmakers delivering the games biggest moments.

One of our favorite additions to this years game is the addition of Multi-Cam. Starting with the conclusion of the play our cameras will focus in on the ball carrier and now have the ability to re-target additional on field players or even your coach all in one cut. You will feel this when you get on the sticks and see how this subtle change makes you feel more connected to the entire Broadcast.

Everything you see is in real-time and is happening behind the scenes, something that we were never able to capture before is now a reality in Madden NFL 17. You will notice this most when our UI pop-ups showcase you information post-play and our players will coexist with the UI in a 3D environment.

One of our goals heading into Madden NFL 17 was to bring to life our Coaches even more than they already are. This year head coaches will be more dynamic and aware of the action on the field. We've added increased fidelity to the Head Coaches on the sideline to allow them to have more of a visual and contextual impact during play and in replays. Much like our multi-cam our coaches will now be part of the environment on each play and will be reacting to situations based on the outcome of each play. You will see coaches run down the sidelines and come to life with more animation than they have in previous games. And where you'll really see this come to life is in Franchise mode playing as a coach. We've centered much of the post play camera presentation around your coach's reaction to big plays, big stops and all the other action on the field.

Madden NFL 17 on Xbox One and PlayStation®4 takes presentation to the next level - focused on you. We've made updates across the board, including improvements to game introductions, Jumbotrons, Monoliths, GFX Packages and more.

More interested in gameplay cameras. One day we will see a custom camera, or at least like FIFA the ability to adjust zoom and height with each.

It's so disappointing that we had a custom camera on the ps2 and nothing since. Even zoom options would be nice but we get nothing!

Yeah it's strange because custom camera is pretty much a pillar in every major sports title nowadays.

    Frame rate excuses grow tiring.

As soon as I saw pylon cam last year in the NFL, I immediately asked for it in Madden, glad they obliged.
    The dude abides.

Definitely excited to see that. Especially when it comes into play with challenges

I play on the "standard" camera angle the others are moot. Hoping the lock quick camera change is still in the game

Won't be excited if the replay gets it wrong, which it seems to a lot in the past few iterations.

Eh that happens, just will be pretty cool to get a better angle of it. Can't say I've seen all that many blatantly incorrect calls.

Hearing some videos and Brandon Gaudin sounds really good. I still think the movement and physics engine Madden uses should be better as it just looks jerky on the field. Animations cut in and out and it doesn't look realistic. Maybe frostbite will help with that in 2017.

This video is pretty much reason why Madden is on the 2nd tier of sports games. My number one request (other than formation subs) is to make the game fun via in-depth immersion.

The introduction looks great but you just know those intros will become painful and generic. In season three will Goff be referred to as a young pup (or punk?). Nothing better than seeing a rookie comparison monolith and seeing all zeros. The immersion is outstanding... How many of us believe that in year five we will be told that LA hasn't had football in 22 years?

Then EA says "all new halftime show" yet anyone who played 16 knows that 17's halftime is IDENTICAL to 16.

In this video the presentation is decent... better than last year but if I turned off the sound I would assume this is 16 (which isn't a bad thing as the gameplay was solid).

I wonder if Madden will ever bring back team celebrations? Scoring a TD and standing by yourself is such an immersion killer. There are so few stat banners in the game... again. Personally I would love to seem them every couple of plays. Plus they are usually very simple and generic. NCAA 06 IMO still has the best football stat banners. Bring those back!

Those fake poses (20 second mark) are absolutely awful and need to be removed. They look awful. Go back to what you did last year for intros.

Madden's gameplay was the best it's been but it is also stale for me. The physics engine, player movement and OL/DL play have never been quite right going back to the move to the PS3 and not much has changed. DL/OL play still looks like wrestling on a spot without much movement while they are engaged. They talk gap assignments but I don't see 4-3 DTs shooting gaps. They shoot into the right gap and right into a guard to wrestle. Maybe this will get better with frostbite but I still feel the overall gameplay will never get where it needs to be with their current engine. And the game just feels cluttered now with too many popups. When I went back and played NCAA 14 it was refreshing in how the presentation was simple vs now.
