The Astros opener at Yankee Stadium has been pushed to tomorrow, due to inclement weather. I'll have to watch on the DVR tomorrow because I will be away for work until probably an hour or two after the game starts.

    I'm home today, of course.

Anyway, I'm super excited for the upcoming season. This team is capable of very special things for years to come. But, with SI picking them to win the World Series and MLB The Show 16 rating them as the best team in baseball maybe they are doomed from the start, lol.

Personally, I think they'll win the AL West (which could be very competitive) and be a major force in the playoffs.

    Go Astros!

The Rockies will win the WS. They have to, since the Broncos won the SB. It's that simple.

First inning of the second game of the season and Carlos Correa just hit his second home run of the season.

How about those Padres? They've been shut out in all 3 of their games so far.

Can the Rockies keep that streak intact? I'm looking at you, Smooth.

God willing. Took two of three from the Diamondbacks to open the season, including lighting up Greinke for 9 hits, 7 runs and 3 home runs in just four innings pitched on Opening Day.

And they also have Superman. Trevor Story has made MLB history, becoming the first player to hit a home run in his first three career MLB games.

Including his two home run season and career debut in the opener, he's got four jacks in his first three career games to start the year.

If he can keep up even a tenth of this hot of a start, Rockies fans will be saying Troy Tulowitzki who?

Well, the Rockies shit themselves against the Padres. However, the kid is still on fucking fire. Trevor Story breaking records yet again as the first player with a home run in the first four games of his MLB career, as well as the first player in at least 100 years, if not ever, to hit 6 home runs in his team's first four games. I like this kid!

After finally be held without a home run Saturday, Trevor Story came back today and jacked number 7. He is now the first player in MLB history to have 7 home runs through his team's first 6 games.

To put it in perspective, Trevor Story has more home runs by himself than 16 other teams.

Tigers starting out well. Payroll a hair under $200M. One local beat writer only predicted 84 wins. That's too low I think. The bullpen is still a question mark but with Zimmerman they have three very good starters barring injury. And their line-up is strong and should score a bunch of runs. Should be a good season for them. I'm expecting 90+ wins. Anything short of making the playoffs would be disappointing. Illitch stretches the payroll to give him a shot at the WS before he dies.

Cubs look great to start the season. It's a bummer that they lost Schwarber for the year, but thankfully they have outfield depth.

Boy the Astros are a hot mess. Starting pitching is terrible, bullpen is shit, offense is mediocre, they can't get any hits with RISP, baserunning is awful and defense has let them down too.

Other than that, they've been ok!

Can't believe it either, figured they'd be set up well this season.

Cubs are killing it so far. Hard to believe both Chicago teams are two of the best in baseball right now (with Washington in between).

Might be the first time the Astros have ruined anything this season. Can't believe how underachieving they are.
