They seem to be back on track. Before Sunday they were on a 7-game winning streak and were 3 games over .500. Going into today they were just 1.5 games out of the Wildcard. I still think they'll make the playoffs.

That said, yeah, they've struggled this year.

Since starting 17-28 the Astros are 26-9 to get to 6 games over .500.

Tonight's 5-0 win over the White Sox opened a 10-game home stand that will see the M's and A's come to town after Chicago. Could be a big opportunity to beat up on some lesser teams going into the break.

    Correa is heating up.

Ventura could get canned for the Sox collapse.

Stupid Indians. The Tigers only have themselves to blame for Cleveland being in first since the Tribe has dominated them this year. I think they are 9-1 against them. Long game with Jay's yesterday.

Actually just checked, it's 9-0 Indians against Tigers this season. Detroit still hasn't beaten them this year.

Next chance is Monday, 10 more games between the two this season. 19-0 for the Indians?

Wow. That's even worse. Tigers have a few too many holes. If some veterans pick up their play like Upton and Sanchez they could make a run but right now this is an 85 win team.

Last year's 2nd overall pick Alex Bregman will debut tonight for the Astros. Bregman will play 3rd and bat 6th. He will reportedly play LF tomorrow and DH on Wednesday.

The Astros are the hottest team in baseball, posting a 37-16 record since they fell to a season-worst 11 games under .500 with their 17-28 start. Now at 54-44, they trail the Rangers by just 2.5 games.

    Go Astros!

That pitching performance was impressive. I flipped through the last two innings and the OU game.

There was also a push to get Charlie Sheen to throw out the first pitch.

People are losing their minds over this down here. People who have never even attended a Zephyr game (the previous team name) are upset about the name change. It's obviously not the best but it's definitely unique. Tailgators was my choice but like America, the worst choice won the vote so oh well. I wouldn't go to a game regardless of the name (as I detest baseball).

Good luck to Verlander in Houston! Hope he gets a ring. Tigers are in full rebuild and got 3 good prospects back. I think Tigers are paying $16M of his salary. Kind of bought the prospects. Tigers are still in trouble with Miggys contract which is the worst contract in sports if he keeps hitting like this season. Maybe a move to DH will help.

Tigers moved Uptons contract which wasn't bad. Zimmerman has a lot of money left and after his arm issues he is simply garbage.

Well, that didn't take long for this game to go to shit. Just got home from work and already the Rockies losing 3-0 and 5 hits given up in only the bottom of the first.

The Rockies fought back repeatedly throughout the night and refused to give up, but hard to win games when your pitching is getting fucking lit up every inning.

I mean christ, they gave up a fucking two run triple to a goddamn RELIEF PITCHER!
