    PlayStation VR - October 2016

PlayStation VR will launch October 2016 for $399.

    - Does not appear to come with Camera or Move controllers, making price closer to $500.
    - 50+ games available between launch and the end of year.
    - EA will manufacture a PSVR exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR experience.

    230 devs? Wow.

I wouldn't think something like this would fly, especially at that price point. Looks like they are going all in on it though.

That's an expensive peripheral. I don't know if indie type games will really catch on. I will be curious over how many AAA titles adopt it though. Will be curious to watch how this sells.

I just don't see it as more than a fad like Move, Kinect, 3D, etc. the market is too narrow and niche for this to be huge.

I agree. It's just interesting that so many studios are getting on board. Sony must have really given some serious incentives to them.

XBOX when so all in with Kinect you couldn't get away from it. I do love it for voice controls though on the XB1.

I would prefer to see AAA titles in 3D before VR. of course I'd have to get a 3D TV first lol. But given that extra cost and having to wear glasses doomed 3D currently I'm not sure that same problems won't impact VR.

I think the 3D phase died a couple years ago.
