    Dangerous Golf (PS4, XB1, PC) - June 3, 2016

Smash a priceless chandelier, set fire to a gas station and destroy a kitchen full of china — this isn’t your average golf game.

Available for download at the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store and Steam in May 2016, Dangerous Golf is an irreverent, silly, fun approach to golf games that challenges players to break the rules and wreak havoc on more than 100 holes in four unexpected locations.

It’s as serious a golf game as Burnout was a serious simulation to driving games. We wanted to mix the attitude of Burnout with the destruction of Black whilst setting the golf ball on fire — a nod to NBA Jam. This type of gameplay is part of our DNA, and something we think our fans will truly enjoy.

In Dangerous Golf, players aren’t striving for Par or aiming for Birdie — they’re playing for dollar damage as their high score. As they progress throughout the game, players will not only be awarded points for trick shots and ricochet techniques, but they’ll also get rewarded for destroying stuff by turning their golf ball into a bomb and setting off their SmashBreaker. Destructive powers increase as the ball heats up, ensuring that the most elaborate shots are not only the most rewarded, but the most impressive to watch.

The action takes place in a series of elaborate indoor and outdoor locations including a hotel kitchen, a glittering palace ballroom, a rural gas station and a stately medieval castle. Featuring turn-based play in both on and offline multiplayer, Dangerous Golf awards points based on destruction, encouraging players to get creative as they wreak havoc in an effort to increase their score.

Dangerous Golf may be a fun, silly golf game, but it’s one that was created with a serious technical edge. Our team worked closely with both Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 team and Nvidia to not only push the boundaries of their PhysX, Apex Destruction and Flex technologies, but also to deliver a truly physics based game experience.

As such, players will enjoy causing amazing destruction by smashing thousands of physically simulated rigid body valuables, shatter priceless heirlooms into small pieces and paint the environments with physically simulated liquids.

By harnessing the power of world class technology provided by Epic and nVidia, we are pushing the boundaries of fast action, amazing destruction and multiplayer gaming. Dangerous Golf is just the beginning of a series of games that will focus on speed, danger, excitement and destruction.

This is what the people want!!!!

Bet it will be better rated than The Golf Club and Rory PGA (though I still haven't played it)

And that will be a shame.

Not sure what you're talking about, but I can't see the site anyways as for some reason it's blocked at work.

It's like guide for Hipster game development 101. The employees pictures are pretty much a giveaway but the following text makes it a slam dunk.

Inspired by legendary film studio American Zoetrope, we’re a place where designers, artists and engineers can come together to create magic.

We aim to make games in a healthy and sustainable way. We put our #TeamFirst.

Our vision as a company is simple and straightforward.

    Make great games

    Have fun making them

Do the right thing each and every day

Just bold all the stuff below in your mind. Bold it in your MIND.

    Time

We like to give our people time. Time to build things in the right way, with the right foundations and with the best technology.

In the past, almost all of the projects we’ve worked on began with a fixed, immovable release date. This always meant that eventual software quality was compromised at some point along the way.

Day-to-day work focused on “what can we do in the time?” instead of asking “what do we need to do to create something incredible?”

    Freedom

We pooled our life savings to start up. We won’t be rushing our games to market, nor be forced to work on projects that we don’t want to do.The development team is in full control of when games their work will be unveiled and shown.

    Empowerment

Our people all have a say in what we do and how we do it. We look for people skilled in at least three different fields of game making.

We don’t believe that formal job descriptions, boring job titles and an isolated team structure leads to great games.

We look for smart people who can contribute to all the different areas of our games. Here, everyone spends their time making our games better each and every day. It’s the only thing that really matters.

Reference show hardly anyone knows about. Reference the great evil that is big corporations.

we’ve always tried to do things differently. (It goes back to watching BBC Television’s “Swap Shop” in the 1970’s, but that’s another story!)

    So get in touch.

In a world of big faceless corporations, it’s nice to know that there’s someone else out there, just as passionate about great games as you are.

Look at all the records on the wall. Pretenders album? Only thing missing was Pabst Blue Ribbon.

I wish they had spent less time referencing their 'holistic' strategy (be one with the code) to game development and more on making a trailer for the game to coincide with the announcement.

Sure, no one likes e corp but working there sure gave this crew the experience, skill set, and ultimately the opportunity to start the new studio. "No one likes big evil corporations," said the mission statement that was typed in using a Mac by a hipster drinking his Starbucks.

The game sounds cool and fun, but I didn't care the selection of and only screens to announce it.

Looks like a typical women's restroom after it hasn't been cleaned in three days.

More game info - including updated release date of June 3.

Welcome to the World of Dangerous Golf, an arcade style sports game with a very explosive twist.

Play through a variety of indoor courses – make a mess in the Kitchen, wreak havoc in a Palace, cause chaos in a Castle and set fire to a Gas Station.

Rack up scores by causing as much damage and destruction as possible. Fire off a SmashBreaker. Blast the ball into the hole with an outrageous Trickshot.

Set off on a World Tour, play co-operatively in Co-Op World Tour mode, or try Party Golf with up to 8 Players.

You don’t need to wear loud trousers, funny shoes or a hat, or be a bore when you shout “Fore!” This is golf for everyone.

Brought to you from the founders of Criterion Games, the people behind Burnout and Black – this is Dangerous Golf. A smashing game for all the family.

    Four Ways to Play
    • World Tour – Embark on a world tour of destruction. Compete in 10 Tours that take you around the globe. Unlock 100 different holes, each featuring different combinations of play mechanics.
    • Co-Op World Tour – Two golfers playing dangerously together. The perfect Couch Co-Op experience! Take turns to Tee-Off, Smashbreak and Putt. Players take turns but scores are combined. Damage does not reset between turns. Work together to maximise scoring. Use one or more controllers.
    • Party Golf (Offline) – Destructive golfing fun for up to 8 Players. Pass the pad and take turns to set the biggest scores. Choose the holes to be played.
    • Party Golf (Online) – Take on and play against the most dangerous golfers in the world. Up to 8 Players.

    Four Unique Locations
    • USA – Kitchen – Make a huge mess. Splat food onto the walls and floor, break microwave ovens and dishwashers. Break open the Store Room, access the Back Alley and trash the Bathroom.
    • England – Castle – Cause chaos. Knock down the suits of armour, spill paint onto works of art and smash priceless antiques. Explore the Dungeon, Armoury, Queens Corridor and redecorate the Great Hall.
    • France – Palace – Let them eat cake – but only after you’ve knocked it all to the floor. Break bottles, vases, tables, grand pianos and grandfather clocks. Drop down to the Wine Cellar, make a noise in the Library or break into the Secret Vault.
    • Australia – Disturb the peace and serenity of the Outback. Set fire to the gas pumps, break all the windows and run riot in the store. Tee off on the Forecourt, make work for somebody in the Workshop, spray paint in the Paint Shop, rock the Rooftop and light up the Alleyway.

    Release Date

Dangerous Golf will be released for digital download on June 3rd 2016.
