The first need the tera eeds to address is a shortage up front. With only 4 forwards/strikers on the roster, a new striker is at the top of the list of needs. Currently the teams funds are limited.

    Transfer budget: $488,000
    Wage budget: $5,000

Jay Mo and Nimes Olympique started the season with three friendlies. The team went 1-1-1. In the first match at home to LA Florida (ACSI) Nimes was badly outplayed but the game was nil-nil until the 85th minute when LA Florida scored. In the 89th minute Maoulida scored to tie the game at 1. However two minutes into extra time LA Florida scored the winner and won the match 2-1.

The 2nd friendly of the season saw Nimes head to FC Thun to take on a fairly even matched team. The game ended in a 0-0 draw. Nimes had 12 shots on goal as compared to 6 by FC Thun but FC Thun's goalie was named man of the match for three outstanding saves.

In the last friendly before the opening of league play, Nimes hosted Zulte Waregem. Nimes was the far superior squad in this match and it showed. Nimes outshot the opposition 16-3 and carried 51% of the possession. The only goal however came in the 8th minute when striker Maoulida scored on a beautiful through ball. That's two goals for Maoulida during the friendlies.

    Breaking news...

After scoring two goals in friendly competition, striker Maoulida is now pondering retirement at the end of the season. He will make up his mind later in the year. This is bad news for Nimes as he is the 31 goal scorer for the team. a team which lacks strikers and an offensive punch.

With the announcement of pending retirement, Nimes has reached out to strikers Theo Robinson and Simeon Jackson. The asking prices for each is between $350,00 and $450,00.

    Match Day One:

    Nimes Olympique vs. Clermont Foot

This game was absolutely bizarre. Nimes won 3-0 but the bigger story was that Clermont played most of the game with only 9 players as in the first half they lost two men to red cards. Nonetheless, Jay Mo's career starts with a home win.

Breaking news... Nimes Olympique officially made an offer for Canadian striker Simeon Jackson. The 27 year old striker playing for Coventry finds himself as part of a bidding war between three other clubs. Nimes has the largest transfer offer on the table for $350,000.

Update: Coventry has accepted the offer. Nimes has now offered Jackson a weekly wage of $5,000. He is currently considering the offer.

Update 2: If Jackson declines, plans are in the works to make a run for Theo Robinson.

    Breaking news...

Canadian striker Simeon Jackson has agreed to terms and signed a 3 year contract with Nimes Olympique. Jackson will wear #10. It is believed he will be a starting striker in Nimes next match (cup match versus US Orleans). Some people in the media question the acquisition though Jay Mo believes that Jackson will provide another option up front and take some of the pressure off Maoulida.

Nimes tried to make multiple moves before the transfer window closed but the team lacked resources to do so. On the brightside the pickup of Simeon Jackson has been massive. He currently leads the team in goals and assists.

    Match Day Six:

    Nimes Olympique vs ES Troyes

Battle for the top of the table! Here is the whole match in it's entirety.

The was an epic battle but if you want the cheat sheet check the spoiler...

    Spoiler: show
ES Troyes jumped out to an early 2-1 lead with goals in the 17th and 25th minutes. They dominated play early on. Late in the 2nd half the comeback was on as Nimes went into ultra attack mode. Jackson scored his fourth goal in league play to make it 2-1. Nimes kept coming and coming... but the Troyes keeper played phenomenal and Nimes could not equalize. The final score was 2-1 Troyes. Troyes now solidifies its spot at top of the table while Nimes is in a multiway tie for 3rd but holds position on goal differential.

    P. Vlachodimos is close to returning from injury. Originally diagnosed as being out for 4 weeks, the team has not played as well at Midfield without his presence.
