My first of six drafts is Friday. It's a 3-year 12 team keeper league, and you lose the round of the pick you made on your keeper, and if it was a free agent, you lose an 8th round.

My keepers are Mike Evans (costs me a 6th), Latavious Murry (costs me an 8th), and Julius Thomas (costs me a 14th).

So I start with those three guys and still get to draft in the first five rounds. Pretty stoked on that.

I'm currently atop my Premier League (random draw of 20 people) and in second in my Friends & Enemies League (5 of us, it uses the same team as in my Premier League).

I think I'm going to dump Harry Kane for Befetimbi Gomis and Charlie Adam for Pedro before the fixture list is played out this weekend.

How do mid-fielders and back defenders gain points?

For all players: a goal is 3 pointsand an assist is 2. For full backs, center backs and goalkeepers it's complicated to explain the exact way it works but what it comes down to is this:

    Clean Sheet 3 points
    1 goal conceded 0 points
    2 goals conceded -1 point
    3 goals conceded -2 points
    etc.

In essence, they're like the defense you start in Fantasy Football.

Well, sort of. The biggest difference would be that you have individual defenders and keepers and not a team defense.

Right. I get it. It's just that you need to pick defenders from teams with a good defense since they're not likely to score offensively.

That's part of it, yes. Also to be considered: you have a salary cap, some defenders will score a few goals and get assists and you can only have a maximum of 2 players from any club.

    10. It's also an auction league so you bid on players. I bully people around with my antics

So the keepers are in for my 3-year 12 team keeper league. The best on the board left are Charles, Lynch, Bryant, and D. Thomas. I pick 6th so I'm going to assume all four will be gone. It looks like my best prospect is either D. Murray or Cobb. Manning is out there and is tempting to take. I don't think the loss of Julius Thomas will be that large for Manning.

I could tell you the same. You start a Fantasy Football thread and then talk about Fantasy American Football.

    Stick to the thread topic.

So my big money re-draft league was done last night (12 teams):

    QB - Matt Ryan
QB - Philip Rivers (same bye as Matt Ryan, working trade to get Palmer for Rivers)
    RB - Eddie Lacy
    RB - Joseph Randle
    RB - Doug Martin
    RB - LaGarrette Blount
    RB - David Cobb
    WR - DeAndre Hopkins
    WR - Alshon Jeffery
    WR - Martavis Bryant
    WR - Victor Cruz
    WR - Breshad Perriman
    WR - Cody Latimer
    TE - Owen Daniels
    K - Steven Hauschka
    DEF - Arizona

My 3-year contract keeper league (12 teams): a draft I really liked from this past Friday

    QB - Tony Romo
    QB - Carson Palmer
RB - Latavious Murray (keeper - cost 8th round pick)
RB - CJ Spiller (might have been a reach, or a good gamble)
    RB - T.J. Yeldon
    RB - Alfred Blue
RB - David Johnson (sleeper potential)
    WR - Randal Cobb
WR - Mike Evans (keeper - cost 6th round pick)
    WR - Roddy White
    WR - Eric Decker
    WR - Brandon LaFell
    WR - Donte Moncrief
TE - Julius Thomas (keeper - cost 14th round pick)
    K - Adam Vinatieri
    DEF - Buffalo
    The dude abides.

Anyone play Draft Kings? I've seen a ton of commercials for it and from that all I can tell is it looks to be some form of gambling via fantasy football/baseball/basketball/etc... but I have no clue how it works and how it determines if you "won" and if so how much $ you should receive.
