FINALLY got up and running on Windows 10 except now Chrome will not work - I keep getting an error message when I try to open it.

It's Microsoft getting their revenge and the last laugh for all your Sony/PS4 good, MS/One bad post over the years.

Either way, they got you by the balls.

Should have bought yourself an Xbox One.

Windows 10 installed on the laptop with no problems, it's ready to go on my desktop too, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow to install it there.

Chrome works fine for me, and it barely took an hour for everything to install I think. Not sure why you are having all the problems CLW.

I can get Chrome to work now - unless I click to open it up by my desktop Chrome icon. My (temporary) solution - just leave chrome up and running always.

Anyone know if there is a way to either put apps on your desktop and/or make sure they stay "pinned" to your start menu?

So CLW, just to be clear CHROME does not run by default? A lot of the stuff I do for work requires Chrome. If it doesn't work properly I will not be installing 10.

You just have to change the default. Not too hard.

Haven't messed much with the start menu yet. I usually pin most used programs to the task bar. I also changed the search bar on there to just be an icon.

I dunno what the issue is - clicking the icon will pop up an error message - however it will work - what i have done is just pin it to the bottom right click and "open new window"

I had a pop-up asking to change the default browser, I am not sure if that came from Norton or not. But that took me to the control panel and I changed it to Chrome.

No problems with Chrome. Seems to run fast. Overall, I like the speed of 10 but I prefer the style and layout of 8.1. 10 will take some tie to get used to for me.

If you Google it, there is a legit way to download without waiting in line.

You hate them because they are making you wait on something free? Sheesh I thought you were joking about becoming a Democrat.
