Now see, that Youtube video, and the professional pictures in news stories, I can see it's black and blue plain as day. THAT picture though, that damn thing is white and gold to me.
You do know that it is just an optical illusion based on how your brain processes the lighting, right? This is no mystery and the picture does not change.
My daughter and I have looked at it at the SAME TIME and I ALWAYS see white and gold while she ALWAYS sees black and blue.

Post 18, I also linked to an article that explains it. It partially has to do with genetics and your eyes, as well as what kind of conditions you look at it in (light room vs. dark room).
I've looked it at here at work so same lighting and such, and it changed 5 minutes later
