Charlie Weis will get paid approximately $4.6 million by two different schools, combined, to sit on his ass next year. And that assumes that a third won't employ him.

A combined $26 million dollars from Notre Dame and Kansas to not coach football once he completes both contracts.

Kansas should really consider an outside party do the hiring of the next coach or just bring Mangino back. So what if he was tough on the players, they won. He was a big reason OU won a title in 2000 and turned Kansas into a winner. Many of these players need a little "tough love."

Not really many interesting games on this week. Hopefully tonight is a very fast night at work as I really hope to by home from work by 10:30, 11 at the absolute latest, to watch the Utah State-BYU game.

Probably won't watch the noon games, opting to sleep once I get home, but if I can't fall asleep, I'll probably jump between Ohio State and Army.

A hell of a game so far by Utah State! Even without Chuckie Keeton at QB, Aggies are taking it to #18 BYU with a 28-14 halftime lead.

. Well, I don't feel so bad about my kicking game (can't even reach the crossbar on a 40+ yard field goal) in my Utah State dynasty, because apparently the Utah State kicking game in real life also sucks!

First time since October 7, 1978, 17 straight losses, that Utah State claims victory in Provo on BYU's home field with a 35-20 win over the #18 Cougars.

Obviously, you and I have talked plenty about how different we are as football fans and what games we like to watch, etc, but this statement just blows my mind. This is the best week so far, in terms of big games. But from a mid-major perspective, you're right

Yeah, it all depends on how you look at it. Mid-majors, some interesting games this week, but not many, at least for me personally.

As for Majors, yeah, it's a hell of a week, especially with how many games have two ranked teams playing each other.

For me personally, I don't know. I just can't get up for those games anymore. I'll start watching them and end up either zoning out, looking for something else on or fire up a game console. Hell, I'll watch the Division III national title game every year (especially if Mount Union is playing in it), but find absolutely no enjoyment from watching Alabama or Oklahoma or Texas or USC or other Big 5 teams.

Sigh. Navy is playing like shit today. Nothing but turnovers, penalties, mistakes, errors, fuckups. I'm about ready to turn this off before it start pissing me off. They better pull a team out of their ass. If Navy loses today, this entire season is essentially a failure.

Special teams and not finishing drives killed us today.

  16. #16
2, 3 and 4 all go down. OU deserved to lose with that defensive effort and piss poor QB play. TCU was the better team today.

Sorry, gentlemen. I'm still happy. The Irish should move up to 7 from 9, at least. I do expect Ole Miss to jump them.

Wow. Utah just got fucked by the refs. That was an absolute bullshit penalty to call with no time left in the game. Utah still managed to win after the UCLA kicker shanked the field goal try again, but that second attempt never should have been made. The UCLA kicker got away with a cheap ass flop.

All I know and as a Sooner fan I have plenty of experience, if you are going to lose a game, do it early in the season. There won't be four undefeated teams by year's end. Notre Dame plays Florida St and the Egg Bowl. So that is a guaranteed two more teams to drop.

Congrats to the Mississippi teams North of I-20, you did your state proud today.
