Beat me to it by a half an hour.

Some good games on TV this week. I'll probably mainly flip through the noon games. Evening games, I'll probably focus on Miami-Cincinnati and have New Mexico-New Mexico State on the laptop. Late night games, Louisiana Lafayette-Boise State has my main focus, though also interested in the other two games at 10:30.

I'm very appreciative that the girlfriend's best friend scheduled her wedding for Ohio State's bye week.

I'm getting lucky too. My sister is getting married on October 18th, same Saturday as Navy's bye week. Really lucked out there as I have to go Dayton just for a bloody small family only wedding.

Dayton is a much closer drive for you than mine is.

Hell, Dayton is a closer drive for me than the drive I'll be taking.

Navy played like utter shit today.

They may end up losing to Rutgers only 31-24, but they were lucky to even be within a touchdown and having a chance at the end of the game to try and tie it. Just a horrible performance today. So many stupid ass penalties, multiple fumbles, turnovers. NOT Navy football. Navy better pull their head out of their ass before Air Force in two weeks. Even next week against Western Kentucky could end up badly for Navy if they don't get their shit figured out.

After fumbling the ball away with 44 seconds left in a tie ball game, Arkansas State blocks a last second field goal attempt by Utah State to send the game into overtime (we had a guy try to do a Leon Lett impersonation but thankfully failed). In OT, ASU scores in 2 plays on a 23 yard pass to the endzone. Facing a 4th & 2, Utah State is called for a false start pushing back the Aggies 5 yards. After an incomplete pass, the Red Wolves can claim a come-from-behind victory in OT over the Aggies.

Between the awful ESPN3 feed and 4 turnovers by the Red Wolves (two were the QB letting the ball slip out of his hands), this game had my blood-pressure up. It's nice to get a non-conference win and gives us two weeks before we start conference play at home against ULM.

What the Hell? You know it's a bad day when you put up 41 points but lose by 30.

Nebraska and Miami got so chippy that the refs & coaches wouldn't let the teams meet at mid-field following the game, staying between them and directing them straight off the field. OL 70 & 74 kept jumping on NU DE Gregory late after snaps, but were never ejected. In one of the most egregious situations, the NU players who pulled them off of Gregory were flagged, but not the UM lineman who jumped on top of Gregory after the whistle.
