Initially, the demo turned me off. It plays very fast and arcady. However after turning the Game Speed down to Slow and reducing Sprint Speed and Acceleration to 45, I think I can still get an enjoyable (if not completely realistic) game from this offering.

The new tactics that have been added for set pieces are a very welcomed addition and the ball physics appear to be tuned nicely from FIFA 14. I think I'm back on board with purchasing this title. I'll probably download it on Tuesday.

With the understanding that the game is going to be tuned to be palatable for the masses (compared to FIFA), the appeal of 200+ nations is enough to get my $.

I haven't nearly gotten my use out of FIFA 14 for the PS4 yet (mainly because of NHL), so once I get more time, I'm just going to go back to that.
    The dude abides.

Bought this game tonight along with MLB The Show 14. The Show is downloading now. When it's done, I'll download this game.

I've been playing The Show so much, I ignored this game until this morning.

I started a Road to the World Cup with USA and put my FIFA 14 sliders and settings in. I gotta say, after just one game, I love it. The gameplay is worlds better than the demo and the improvements over FIFA are noticeable.

My first match, a Friendly at Colombia, ended in a 1-1 draw. The Colombians dominated the first half and used 57% possession to grab the lead in the 18th minute after netting a spilt save by Tim Howard.

Landon Donovan equalized, heading in a Graham Zusi corner, in the 54th minute for USA.

    The numbers:
    Stat: Colombia/USA

    Goals 1/1
    Shots 21/14
    On Target 10/7
    Possession 55/45
    Tackles 23/17
    Fouls 3/5
    Yellow 2/0
    Red 0/0
    Injuries 1/2
    Offsides 3/5
    Corners 6/3

    Shot Accuracy % 47/50
    Pass Accuracy % 80/75

Not bad for just plugging in my FIFA 14 sliders. I'll have to get several matches in before I consider any changes. I'm really looking forward to playing through all of the Qualifying and will probably play another RTTWC with Ukraine when I'm done with this one.

Just played my second Friendly in Road to the FIFA World Cup. Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba proved to have too much quality for my US squad to handle.

Got my first win in RTTFWC, winning at Korea DPR 1-0.

The Koreans were outclassed but managed to stay level on the scoreline until the 77th minute when Clint Dempsey tapped in a beautiful sliding ground cross from Aron Johannsson.

    Statistic PRK/USA

    Shots 2/15
    On Target 1/4
    Possession 53/47
    Tackles 18/45
    Fouls 1/3
    Yellow 0/0
    Red 0/0
    Injuries 0/1
    Offsides 0/7
    Corners 0/1

    Shot Accuracy % 50/26
    Pass Accuracy % 79/70

I uploaded the Dempsey goal to easportsfootballclub.com (link to my vids above).

Great read Matt. I really wish this game were on the PS4 as it would have been an instant pickup. Looking forward to when you beat Canada 9-0. Good luck!

    Thanks, jaymo.

I have picked up FIFA 14 again too. I haven't been posting anything but I started a new Manager Career with Chelsea. I'm about ten games in. I've won a pair of Capital One Cup matches against the lower divisions, am 1-1-0 in the Group Stage of the UCL and am 4-1-1 in the BPL. (I think that's all I've played). I'm having fun with it again.

Between World Cup, FIFA, MLBTS and my NHL GM Connected with JB and snoop (which is about to finish a third season), I'm finding it difficult to find the time to play everything.

    USA 0:0 Scotland

The United States were the better side for most of the match but wasteful finishing forced the Americans to settle for a scoreless draw against the Scots.

    USA/Scotland

    Shots 20/5
    On Target 6/1
    Possession 51/49
    Tackles 18/18
    Fouls 2/1
    Yellow 0/0
    Red 0/0
    Injuries 0/1
    Offsides 2/3
    Corners 4/1

    SA% 30/20
    PA% 77/78
