But last month I guess Escobar responded to my message through the app and it included the signature "sent from something other than a PS3". I stared at that signature for a few seconds at least, completely confused how he had done that. I'd been wanting an app to give access to PSN messages for years, but now I have no need for it, so I completely forgot it existed until that day

I picked up one of these at Gamestop for $19.99. It charged a brand new controller in a few hours. It's nice how it has an indicator light the same colors as the controller, starts out orange and when it's fully charged turns blue.
Also picked up a 3rd controller (white version). Now we have 1 blue, black and white.

Sony has confirmed via Twitter that the PS4’s next significant firmware update, version 2.0, will be made available on October 28.
This is funny, I guess people will complain everywhere...one of the comments at the bottom of the article linked above says, "Just talking ps4's recent history It probably won't work well."
I bet that gives all the hard working people at Sony warm fuzzies!
Shareplay also coming via 2.0 which could be an interesting way to try out a friend's game to see if its worth buying yourself.

Actually, a ton of people are having issues. Myself included. I can't log in to PSN now which makes my system useless. Others can't log into YouTube and some say their systems won't turn on after installing 2.0.

Update.
After several attempts, I finally got in to PSN. I could get on the Web with my PS4 the whole time so it wasn't a problem on my end. Hopefully this BS gets straightened out quickly.

I had to try about 25 times to download the YouTube App. It's downloading now but I'm sure there will be issues installing and signing in.
Sigh. I have another system to do this on. I hope it goes smoother.
