I'm tempted for the remote PS4 play alone. IF I can simply take that little box and it allows me to play on the big screen when the wife is at work/sleeping it's worth every penny to me.
Damn it Sony stop tempting me ugh.
If it comes to the US for $100, definitely buying it.

Saw an article stating no plans for western release. Hopefully that changes.

For people wondering about PS Vita TV outside Japan, we are just saying now "PS Vita TV releasing first in Japan". Stay tuned.

I don't see how they can't release it here. They had to have felt the buzz that it created in the U.S. after its announcement.

If it isn't region locked could we theoretically import it?
I'd be STUNNED if it didn't come West. I don't see any logical reason why it wouldn't make smart business sense. Allot of hard core gamers would buy them just for the PS4 on multiple t.v.s factor. + being able to play vita on the big screen (and other streaming services) its like a gaming version of Roku (or whatever that silly streaming box is called)
Asia's release date is in January 2014.

Interesting. I suspect this is sort of a "payback" to their loyal home base for not getting PS4 as the same time as the silly Americans who like their COD and Madden.
"You have to consider bandwidth and latency" when using PS Vita TV, @yosp notes, but doesn't think there should be issues in a home network.
