Yep. Going to be interesting. I think both matchups are a coin flip but I'd favor Bayern Munich over Real Madrid. Chelsea will have their hands full with Atletico.
As I expected, UEFA has called the clause in Keeper Thibaut Courtois' loan agreement that would cause Atletico to pay Chelsea £4.5 if he plays against the Blues "null". Courtois has been on loan with Atletico from Chelsea for the last couple years and is a hot commodity among goalkeepers. Rumors have Real Madrid and Barcelona (pending their transfer ban appeal) among the clubs making a play for Courtois. I'll be pissed if Chelsea sells him, Petr Cech can't play forever.
Huge result at Anfield today with Liverpool beating City, 3-2.
Chelsea still needs City to drop a couple points, but their title hopes got a boost with the result. Of course, Chelsea needs to win out starting with a trip to Swans that kicks off in about ten minutes.
If Chelsea can get the three points at Swansea, it will go a long way toward setting the table for a HUGE clash at Anfield in two weeks between the Blues and the Reds.
KTBFFH!
Chelsea were very wasteful today putting just 3 of 26 shots on target, but they did get a goal from last Tuesday's Champions League hero, Demba Ba, in the 68th minute for a 1-0 win at Liberty Stadium.
Chico Flores was sent off with his second booking in the 16th minute but the sending off actually worked against the Blues. Chelsea have struggled this season when the opposition sit behind the ball. Swans did just that, content to play for a draw. Fortunately, Chelsea still got the critical 3 points to keep in the thick of the title race.
Manchester City 2:2 Sunderland
And just like that, Chelsea joins Liverpool as the 2 clubs that control their own destiny in the Premier League.

They take their football seriously in Greece.
Manchester United says manager David Moyes has left the club after less than a year in charge.
No surprise. Word started leaking on Monday that this was coming. After 11 seasons at Everton, Moyes left for United and took Fellaini with him. Replacing Sir Alex proved to be too much as United was officially locked out of next season's UEFA Champions League last with a loss at (where else) Everton. United will not participate in the UCL next year, marking the first time in 19 years that they are out.
To make matters worse for Moyes, Everton are battling Arsenal for the last EPL UCL spot right now. It would be very fitting if the Toffees lock that spot down.
I will miss Moyes and can only hope that the level of incompetence he brought to Old Trafford will continue without him.

Sounds like Giggs is going to be a player-manager.
The dude abides.
Goalless at the half between Atletico and Chelsea in the first leg of their UCL semifinal. Jose Mourinho deployed a very defensive lineup and Chelsea will be thrilled to draw in Madrid.
Hazard is still out injured, joined by Eto'o. With Ivanovich suspended, Chelsea lost Petr Cech in the 18th minute with an apparent elbow injury.
I'd love to see the Blues get an all-important road goal in the second half, but not losing (particularly by multiple goals) is more important.
Finishes 0-0.
Cech has a dislocated shoulder and will miss Sunday's match at Anfield.
Good result, not great, for Chelsea today. Second leg next Wednesday at the Bridge.
KTBFFH!
Chelsea MGR Jose Mourinho says goalkeeper Petr Cech (dislocated shoulder) will miss rest of season
Chelsea captain John Terry will miss at least a few weeks with ankle injury.
Also, Lampard is going to serve a one-match ban for accumulation of yellows in the UCL next Wednesday.
Jesus. Chelsea is going to be lucky to be able to even field a full squad next week, much less beat Atletico at this rate.

You must not be familiar with their depth.
If no one comes back before then, the likely lineup:
GK Schwarzer
LB Azpilicueta
CB Luiz
CB Cahill
RB Ivanovich
LDM Mikel
RDM Ramires
LM Schurrle
CAM Oscar
RM Willian
ST Torres
They would still have names like Cole and Ba available too. This is factoring in the fact that Ramires could face a suspension from the FA (won't affect UCL) and that both Matic and Salah are cup tied and can not play in the UCL for Chelsea.
Check that.
Mikel is suspended too.
I suspect Hazard will be back. If not, I'd expect to see Cole in the lineup with Ivanovich shifting inside to CB and Luiz moving to the defensive midfield. We could see that, even with Hazard in the lineup.

FIFA just couldn't help themselves. They had to let FIFAlona off the fucking hook.
