Got this for Christmas, and I must say it's pretty good so far. Anything that was hanging up the game has been fixed from what I saw. The latest Amazon reviews reflect that as well. I raced about 4-5 races last night, joined the Gaming Tailgate club, and etc.

By arcade I mean punishing mistakes hard going around the course, realistic handling vs high speed corners (Dukes of Hazard) type stuff. I really don't like power ups and weapons in racing games. I dislike Mario Kart. I really liked ModNation racers. That was arcade like but the focus was on beating the track and not shooting other drivers. I like banging in to other cars but not ink blots and crap like that in Mario.
I downloaded the UK demo of MotoGP and man that was hard and punishing since it was more Sim based imo.
You lose earnings for hitting cars, going off the track, hitting the barrier.

I've played a little of this, and it's a good game. They really fixed things after the debacle.

that's what i have read/heard but i just cannot justify purchasing a game when i was guaranteed it would be free for me to try 1st on PS+.

Isn't this update preparing the way for the free version? I will check it out. Still wish offline racing seasons were a part of these games and not just racing to unlock things. I wish Sony would make another mod racer.
