Continue Online Dynasty from NCAA 13 to new NCAA 14 game?

    Hi,

Is there any way we can continue our dynasty from one release version of the game to the next? In other words, we are investing alot of time in our NCAA 13 dynasty, but when NCAA 14 comes out, we will probably want to buy the new game. Is there any way to transfer our dynasty to the new NCAA 14 game?

We put in so much time recruiting and building our teams that it defeats the purpose if we cannot continue to build off of what we started. Or do we just have to keep using the old NCAA 13 game?

    Thanks,
    Shawn

The ability to continue from one game to the next has been a feature request for sometime now, essentially since NCAA10. At this point, obviously it's too early to know if it will be in NCAA14 but in case it's not, you pretty much have three options: 1) keep playing NCAA13 2) start over 3) build each of your teams in TeamBuilder.

The first two are self-explanatory but in the third, you would just build your team to match the progress you've made in the NCAA13 OD (roster, team ratings, etc.) The down-side is though that you can only do that for 12 teams so all of the CPU teams would be based on the default roster (unless you went through all of the trouble to edit them as well).

I've been asking for it a lot longer than that Pre-OD, obviously.

    Thanks alot!! That info helps.

Any idea when NCAA 14 is going to be released? And how early can you usually see the new features being released and tell whether they have implemented a feature for this topic this year? It seems like it is such an obvious feature and that it wouldn't be that hard... but obviously there is a reason they haven't done it yet.

The middle of July, most likely. That's been the release date since NCAA 2000. The only reason I could see that date slipping is if the new console rumors are true and EA wants to hold off on NCAA until the next generation comes out. However, I personally believe they'll skip the initial release of the new consoles and release to the current generation in July.

The first info usually comes out around the time of the NFL draft.

    Welcome to the site!

Also, one (legitimate) reason I can think of that this feature hasn't been implemented is that they sometimes make significant changes to the roster (like adding or removing ratings). Without a conversion, that would make it very difficult to use a roster between years. That said, a converter wouldn't be the most difficult thing to code. I think it's more about the (relative) lack of demand for the feature ... it's something that a lot of hardcore, long-term dynasty players want, but it's less likely to sell additional copies of the game.
