Extremely light week for me. Nothing at noon as I am hitting the sack the second I get home from work at 10am. Have to run board for a remote from 2-4pm and then I'm going to be downtown the rest of the afternoon for Rib Fest, part getting out and having some fun and part working.

Judging by last year's Rib Fest I probably won't be home until 8 or 9pm. Granted last year we had a raffle for a car as part of a promotion on one of our stations, and I haven't heard anything like that this year, so not sure what all we might be doing through the radio stations down there. But I'm sure we'll be do something and I'll be working for most of the afternoon and evening nonetheless.

So very, very little football time for me next weekend. I doubt I'll see anything of Ohio State-Michigan State. San Jose State-Navy I'm gonna set to record on my DVR. Tulsa-UAB, I have no clue what's going on with that as it's been listed as TBA all season long, so no clue if they'll end up on ESPN3, on FSN or something.

    Thursday, September 27th
Stanford at Washington 9:00 p.m. ESPN (HD)
    Saturday, September 29th
Ohio State at Michigan State 3:30 p.m. ABC (HD)
San Jose State at Navy 3:30 p.m. CBSSN (HD)
Texas at Oklahoma State 7:50 p.m. FOX (HD)
Wisconsin at Nebraska 8:00 p.m. ABC (HD)
Games not yet scheduled for nationally available networks.
Tulsa at UAB 3:00 p.m. TBA
Florida International at Louisiana Lafayette 7:00 p.m. espn3
    Toledo at Western Michigan 7:00 p.m. espn3

For anyone with a passing interest in Arkansas State, this game will definitely be the one to watch. We've got WKU at home after them coming off a big win against USM. This game will likely go a long way to determine the conference champion. We beat them last year scoring a touchdown with just 0:43 remaining. It should be a great game and will finally tell us what exactly our team is made of.

It's a shame Tulsa and Southern Miss don't play this year. The way things are going so far, looks like no showdown in the C-USA championship game. Hopefully Tulsa will get some good competition in the title game.

I think our staff is confused and thinks that if we play bad, we'll get first pick in the high school draft or something. We're going to definitely lose our next 3 games [,,] to start 0-6. We MAY win against the next week which is homecoming but beat us last year and this year's team far inferior to last year's team. We must be on the only school on Earth whose has a QB rotation of 3 FUCKING QUATERBACKS! 3!!!! I thought it was bad when we had indecision with 2 QBs but now we're throwing the 3rd in the mix just muck it up more. The defense can't tackle or cover anyone. This is EASILY the worst team I've ever seen in my life. Usually, a bad year means we're mediocre. The way things are now, I'd LOVE to be mediocre.

Damn, 0-6 definitely isn't out of the question. Those are three tough games coming up, and then the conference sked after that. What the hell happened between last year and this year? I can't believe Southern Miss is having this massive of a fall off in a one year period.

    My assessment:

    1) Our head coach, Larry Fedora, used last season's 11-2 record to get himself a huge raise and access to resources as the new head coach of North Carolina.

    2) Our 4-year starting QB, Austin Davis, is now on the roster of the St. Louis Rams.

    3) Anthony Alford. He's the "gem" of our recruiting class. Everyone and their grandmother wanted him but he wanted to play baseball as well (he signed a 3 million dollar contract with the Blue Jays, I think it is). The baseball thing scared all the big dogs away so he fell into our lap. We even hired his high school head coach as our offensive coordinator. The kid has skills. It's obvious when he's on the field but he's not quite ready yet but I think we're trying to keep him happy so he doesn't go play pro baseball or something. So this QB carousel we have is making the offense hella inconsistent. And with the defense taking a step back also, it's just a nightmare.

This isn't the best slate of games, but it's still college football so I won't complain too much.

Really looking forward to vs. . That's my game of the week this week.

And what's up with ? ? They've played , , and now . No wonder they struggled vs. . They need to play a better schedule then that.

Serious question... ignore any bias. Should either player be suspended this week for their hit in last week's game?

    WKU's Dowling (advance to 0:53)

    ASU's Q. Lee

  19. #19
WKU Dowling - The guy was a couple yards in the end zone. Stupid play deserved a 15 yard unsportsmanlike injury.

ASU Q. Lee - No, they were both going down at the same time.

Are safety rules wussifying football? Yes!
