Cal switches from Nike to Under Armor with a 10-year, $86M deal.

Sources say the deal is worth almost $86 million in cash and product. It includes a $3 million signing bonus, $3.5 million in cash per year and an average annual product allowance of $4.76 million.

The new pact is worth much more than what Nike was paying the Golden Bears. In the final year of its Nike deal, Cal will receive $2 million in product and $150,000 in cash. Its cash intake will increase more than 2,000 percent in 2017-18.

The fewer schools using Nike the better. They are uniform killers IMO.

Were the uniform killers. Now they just share that title. Google Maryland Under Armor Football uniforms for at least 20 different examples of how not to make a football uniform.

I can just envision the future Cal uniforms. A Social Justice Warrior line, to replace the Wounded Warrior line because it is Bezerkley.

Adidas has ruined their fair share of football & basketball uniforms as well.

It seems like every school has gotten a big deal lately in making a uniform switch - except for when Nebraska renewed with Adidas in 2013.

UCLA just landed the biggest collegiate apparel deal ever.

The $280 million deal with Under Armour (UA) will last for 15 years, industry sources told CNNMoney on Tuesday. The news was first reported by ESPN.

UCLA has been outfitted by Adidas for years. Its current contract began in July 2011 and expires in June 2017. The two sides were in talks to renew that deal but were unable to reach a new agreement by the deadline.

Only a handful of collegiate apparel deals come even close to UCLA's new partnership with Under Armour.

Nike (NKE) holds the three largest -- a 15-year deal with Ohio State worth $252 million, a 15-year deal with the University of Texas worth $250 million and an 11-year deal worth about $169 million with the University of Michigan.

Classic uniform stays classic. GTFO with those shoes though.

Helmets in rival colors. Some look cool but most look weird. Some picks for rivals were headscratchers.

I gotta be honest, I actually liked the way some of them looked. It'd be sort of cool to see some of the teams wear some of those helmets.

Looks good. Not a fan of the piping on the yellow jersey top but it is a small complaint.

    4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

I'd like it more if the helmet was maroon or whatever with the yellow gopher but I still like it I'm in.
