Browsing at Amazon, I've noticed they have PlayStation Move and Microsoft Kinect hardware and software up for sale already. The prices are very interesting.
PlayStation Move:
Starter bundle (game, Move, EyeToy) $100
Navigation controller: $30
Move + Navigation controller: $80
Games: $40 each (some regular games will have Move version included on disc)
Kinect:
$150 and games are $60 a pop.
I'm not sure how successful either will be, but I see more potential with the Move, not only in its use but the cost. The Move games are more reasonably priced...who would pay $60 for Kinectimals? Cute game for kids, I suppose, but that's awfully pricey.
You wouldn't want to molest a tiger for $60?
Yeah you've already got to invest $200+ just to get started on Kinect.
With Move, if you already have the EyeToy, you're looking at $70+, $100+ at the max.
Multiple sources have stated $150 for Kinect now, so that seems to be set.
Another issue I'm hearing with the Kinect is that you have to stand the entire time. The camera system can't recognized a body well enough when you're sitting. That means in order to do the motion controls for the console, movies, driving games, etc. all have to be done while standing. That to me would be a complete deal breaker.
They claimed at E3 that you could sit....but I've heard people are having issues playing a game while standing anyways LOL .... The look and feel of the games that PS Move had looked a LOT better than Kinects....the Kinect games looked like Wii games with a tad more polish.
Portal 2 Gameplay from E3.

The fact that the Wii and the PS3 both use Blu Tooth should be an advantage. It's a good thing I don't care about moving while playing any video game.
