Games that kinda matter this week in the race to the BCS

Brigham Young at No. 24 Boise State Left upright says NOPE.

Missouri at No. 7 South Carolina
Oregon State at No. 19 UCLA
Colorado at Washington State (Mike Leach has to be licking his chops)
    No. 2 LSU at Auburn
No. 18 Michigan at No. 11 Notre Dame (There was once a time when this game mattered every year, glad to see it back to Kardashian status - the fat Kardashian mind you but it is better than being Bruce Jenner)
No. 15 Kansas State at No. 6 Oklahoma
No. 10 Clemson at No. 4 Florida State (college gameday location for week 4)
No. 22 Arizona at No. 3 Oregon

Idaho State. If it wasn't for BTN, this would be a PPV game.

That is just the Sooner fan in me pissed off that you took us out this year in the Super Regional. Fun fact is that OU also has two CWS titles.

P.S. Clemson is the best football team in South Carolina.

Should actually have a chance to watch some football this weekend (while probably playing GW2 of course):

    Wednesday, September 19th
    Kent State at Buffalo 7:00 p.m. ESPNU (HD) / espn3 *9
    Friday, September 21st
    Baylor at Louisiana Monroe 8:00 p.m. ESPN (HD) / espn3 *9
    Saturday, September 22nd
Maryland at West Virginia 12:00 p.m. FX (HD)
Missouri at South Carolina 3:30 p.m. CBS (HD) / cbssports.com
Kansas State at Oklahoma 7:50 p.m. FOX (HD)
Clemson at Florida State 8:00 p.m. ABC (HD)
Arizona at Oregon 10:30 p.m. ESPN (HD)

I might flip around some between 3:30 and 7:50 depending on how badly Missouri is beating South Carolina.

Went through and sorted out my list of games. VMI-Navy at 3:30 and Fresno State-Tulsa at 8pm are the only main games I am looking forward to and will be watching throughout (I'll also probably focus a good bit on Clemson-Florida State), everything else, I'm gonna probably be doing my usual of flipping back and forth between games at commercial breaks to see what's going on. The noon games I'll probably end up sleeping through the noon games (as I'll have just gotten off work at 9am after having been awake since 5pm Friday night), but if for some reason I'm still awake, I'll probably focus on the two Ivy League games on CBSSN and NBCSN. Don't get the chance to watch Ivy League a whole bunch during the season, so those would be the games I'd focus on during the noon games.

Do you guys think the hit by #36 DJ Swearinger of South Carolina derserves a one game suspension?

Based on the new rule, yes. What I do not care for is the unequal enforcement of the rule. In addition, back when I played that was called good D maybe we will see flag or touch in the next ten years.

Not sure about the one game suspension but it's definitely a penalty.

If he would have hit him lower, it shouldn't have been called. I still think it's bullshit. That's a good defensive play, plain and simple. It's ridiculous how neutered football is now. Yes, I know it's all about safety, but, for god's sake, you're playing a game where the objective is to hit the other player as hard as you can to dislodge the ball/prevent them from completing the catch. What more can you expect?

The NCAA and the NFL just needs to stop beating around the bush and take away helmets. Then they can get the type of football they want.

Definitely a penalty. I wouldn't go as far as suspending dude though UNLESS the coaches told the players not to do that and he did it anyway to get a highlight.

Penalty yes, suspension no way. If he hits someone The same way with the same penalty twice in one season then a 1 game suspension should be implemented.

    Just my two cents.

Yeah, I don't think he was intentionally trying to be malicious or injure. He had a chance to just plain lay someone the fuck out and clean their clock, he went for it and got too high. He got penalized, I'm sure he got his ass chewed out by the coaches on the sidelines and Monday at practice/film session, so he'll think twice next time about going so high.

Only issue I truly have there is that instead of putting his shoulder pads into the gut of the guy and making him spew his lunch all over the field, he led with his helmet and went in too high for the hit. Leading with the helmet is my biggest issue with that play. Other than that, it was just a heat of the moment hit that he got too high on and got flagged for it.
