I'm thinking about joining, but I'm not sure. Considering I was only born in 1987, the hell if I'm gonna know how popular things were back then (compared to being popular these days due to being "classics"). I just went through the list, and while I've seen a lot, out of the list of 200, there's 84 that I haven't seen, so besides not knowing how popular of movies they were during the 80s (or when this list was compiled) compared to these days, I would have no clue how to even go about ranking them. Some of them obviously were huge and popular, but naturally that probably means they'll all be listed and gone before the top 25.
Votes were taken from over 3000 folks about 10-11 years ago. Unlike the music, not much "foreign" stuff made it in.

Repo Man was in the 220s somewhere. The rest of that stuff is out of my realm. So are you playing ram?

There's no way I could play this. This is my top 25 in no particular order:

    Aliens
    Back to the Future
    Die Hard
    The Empire Strikes Back
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    Ghostbusters
    The Goonies
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
    The Karate Kid
    Lethal Weapon
Once Upon a Time in America
    Planes, Trains & Automobiles
    Predator
    Conan The Barbarian
    The Princess Bride
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
    Rocky IV
    Scrooged
    The Shining
    Spaceballs
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
    The Terminator
    They Live
    The Thing
    WarGames

I mean, some of these movies are in my personal top 25 of all time greatest movies, yet, I can almost guarantee that they aren't when you ask the average person that grew up in the 80s.

And that's leaving shit off like Sixteen Candles, Brazil, St Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club, and other shitty 80s movies like that are guaranteed to be on the top 12 list.

Go ahead and count me in... though I suck with 80s movies. Unless it's Spaceballs, 3 Amigos or the like.

Ah yeah, The Three Amigos, that is a great movie. We got a classic like Throw Momma from the Train, but how the hell did Three Amigos not make it? It is a GREAT movie.
