    QB Wrap?

Hello everybody. Quick question, who do I read during the mesh on the qb wrap while going against a four man passrush?

I thought it was a designed QB run and the mesh was the equivalent of a play-action fake.

Correct, it's 100% a QB keeper. Think of it similar to a counter as you should get a pulling guard as a nice lead blocker.

Pulling guard? That would explain why the play doesn't work.

Thanks much appreciated. Now I'll practice and add this to my arsenal.

Not sure if you're saying I typed the wrong o-lineman or making a crack about lead blocking but personally I love the play. It works wonders, especially against a user after you've set it up a few times with a read option or even just an off tackle run.

That was a joke about how pulling linemen run right pass threats and either blocks no one, someone 20 yds. away, or stops, turns around, and blocks the guy chasing you.

One difference is though with the QB Wrap, since it gets the defense going one way, essentially the pulling lineman will always have a clear target as either the OLB or FS will be the first man he targets. I definitely recommend trying it because of all pulling lineman plays, it appears to be one of the better designed/executed.

With me converting over to the Malzhan style Option - Spread this yr, due to them nerfing the flexbone, This is one of the plays I ended up keeping in my playbook. Cause it seems to be the only designed QB keeper that works. Its just hard for me to trust the pulling guards though.

This play works better then most QB draws. For me anyways. What formation has the best QB draw design and execition?

This is frustrating beyond belief when that happens, kinda makes me want to quit the game I am playing. Its like the biggest o shit moment in a the course of a football game.

That seems to happen to me more with wr's wandering around aimlessly not hitting anybody.
