    That would be "from EA"

    Brad Wing = Instant 99.

I was able to get some further info on how the OVR team ratings are calculated:

The OVR ratings are normalized. So for instance with WISC being a 99 OVR, it just means they are one of the top teams. It only takes starters into consideration (Wisc has the best HB in the game).

Now I would personally argue that they're still overrated but at least now we have a better idea of why the ratings are what they are.

Is this how OVR was calculated in previous versions as well? Starters only?

That, I'm afraid I don't know, but I would assume so.

Personally I don't understand how Boise St is a 6 star program. 5 star, absolutely. But IMO 6 stars should be reserved for programs that have a long history of excellence that are also currently a power. Alabama, USC, etc... Obviously just my take.

Actually, from that video, they're a 5-star. I'm curious if there aren't several mistypes relaying that information from the video to text form.

Oh ok... Yeah, I had several rounds of back and forth between me, EA, & the tradition guys yesterday trying to straighten that out. Wouldn't surprise me if there's quite a few errors in the text form.

Like Notre Dame? Didn't that table say it was a 6-star school?

Both Boise and ND I could see as 5 stars not 6.

Exactly, to me there should be 2 criterea for a 6th star... History of excellence & current/recent success. Nebraska, Penn St, Boise, ND, etc... all are missing a component of that.

Boise State is a program, but Notre Dame is definitely a program (in the game, that is).
