    That is just crazy. My wife is so upset right now. I heard he had cancer several years ago but then nothing else about it until today.

    they messed with a simple formula that no one else dared..they were a punk band and just started bringing that influence to doing RAP stuff .

    I remember watching them on American Band Stand with Dick Clark and they were throwing their mics back and forth to each other instead of lipsyncing the lyrics.

    their first major touring gig was opening for Madona on her tour..some werent aware that they werent a punk band anymore..

    Yep. Back in the day, Slayer was on Def Jam along with the Beastie Boys. Slayer being signed to Def Jam never really made sense.
