Great. Now we're guaranteed a LSU-Alabama rematch in the NCG. No way in fucking hell does Georgia actually beat LSU. Looks like college football is coming to an end for me the day of the final regular BCS game the first couple days of January.

I'm done with college football, besides watching WVU play. I'm done. It is COMPLETE bullshit that the MNC game is going to be a rematch. Alabama had their chance and they blew it (in one of the most boring games I've ever half watched in my life). It should be anyone BUT a team that's already played LSU in the MNC game. ANYBODY. At this point, it should be determined by whether or not LSU beats Georgia and whether or not Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma in their final game to determine who would play who in the MNC game.

LSU loses and Oklahoma State wins, it's Alabama vs Oklahoma State for the MNC game.

LSU wins and Oklahoma State loses, it's LSU vs Stanford for the MNC game.

There should be absolutely no way for a rematch in the MNC game. That is unacceptable and I will never watch another non-WVU college football game until it is prevented with either a playoff or by a special system that prevents rematches, no matter who it's skipping over.

The hilarious part of it all, it just looks like to me it was all planned to begin with. Why else would two coaches that normally take ridiculous chances, play uber conservative against one another? I smell bullshit from the very beginning. They were willing to play it close and let one of the teams beat the other by a small margin because they knew that there was no way they'd be denied another shot at one another in the MNC game. I mean, for fuck's sake, LSU could lose to Georgia and still play in the fuckin' MNC game! How is that fair?!?! Worse than all of that, the fuckin' SEC would get THREE teams in the BCS bowls, something that isn't supposed to be able to happen. So, someone like Houston or Boise State could get fucked out of playing in a BCS bowl game because of all this bullshit. It's just utter bullshit, all the way around and I'm done with it.

The biggest red flag for me, is the fact that Alabama isn't even going to win their own fucking division! Much less their own damn conference. If you can't even win your own damn division in your conference, you have no business even thinking about playing in a MNC game.

UCLA may as well not bother showing up. That game will be over before the 1st quarter even ends. There's one game I can definitely, without a doubt, skip.

so after next friday, ucla (assuming they will most likely lose) will have to petition the ncaa for bowl eligibility, being 6-7.

after their 50-0 ass whipping, what bowl in the country wants them?

I think UCLA fans will be happy, bowl or no bowl, knowing they have close the gap on USC.

At least there will be the MAC title game to watch on Friday night. I always enjoy seeing non-BCS teams face off in CCGs. They play with a lot of pride and emotion - always fun to watch.

That was an interesting way to remove biases but until the season is over the whole thing is moot.

    Bedlam Series

Oklahoma currently leads the series 82-16-7. 8 straight victories in the series. I can't think of many "rivalries" this one sided. OU still has a BCS spot on the line and doing it without our superstar WR and starting RB would make an upset all the better.

    Here's how it SHOULD be:

Alabama should not be #2. They played a VERY weak SEC schedule (strength of schedule ratings are bullshit, btw, as the SEC is SEVERELY overrated this year) and, besides that, played basically no one at all (Penn State, Georgia Southern, North Texas, and Kent State? PLEASE!). They only team worth a damn that they played all year, LSU, they lost to, at home in one of the most boring and sloppy games I've ever halfway watched.

The real problem is, no one has a real right to be the #2 team besides Houston, but Houston played such a shitty schedule (unfortunately, the schedule they were given cause everyone is a pussy and won't play them at their place), so we're stuck with a bunch of teams that don't deserve to be there.

    • Oklahoma State - Lost to Iowa State (granted, it was a huge distraction with what just happened to the women's basketball coaches and all of that). If they beat Oklahoma, there's certainly something to say about that because, at least they won their damn conference and have beaten more than three teams with winning records (see later for why that means anything).
    • Stanford - Got trounced by the one good team they've played all year and nearly lost to a shitty Cal team. Again, like Alabama, not even a chance to win their conference. Though, them beating USC at their place was a pretty big deal. Like Oklahoma State, though, they beat teams that actually have a winning record (again, see later for the reason why that means something ).
    • Virginia Tech - REALLY tough to make a case for them. They have played the easiest schedule out of all the BCS conference possibilities and they lost to a really awful Clemson team at home. Just hard to make a case for them over Houston in my mind. The ACC is on par with C-USA and the Big East in my opinion (aka, fuckin' horrible).

After those three, we're getting into teams with loss teams and that's unacceptable for MNC consideration (most years, anyway )

So, again, easy C-USA schedule or not, Houston (if they beat Southern Miss) should be playing LSU. That's just all there is to it. I don't care how "tough" the SEC is or any of that bullshit.

Here's the lowdown on the bullshit overinflated hype that is the SEC:

Alabama beat a 5-7 Kent State team, a 9-3 Penn State team (talk about a horribly inflatted win total - they only beat two teams with winning records), a 4-7 North Texas team, a 6-6 Florida team, a 6-6 Vanderbilt team, a 2-10 Ole Miss team, a 5-7 Tennessee team, a 6-6 Mississippi team, a FCS team, and a 7-5 Auburn team. So, they only have 3 wins against schools with winning records in a 9-3 Penn State team, a 7-5 Auburn team, and a 10-2 Arkansas team (who, btw, only beat two teams with winning records). That's it. You've got to be kidding me if anyone thinks that's a hard schedule. In years past? Sure. Absolutely. But this is 2011, not the 1980s. I don't give a shit what Auburn did last year or what Florida did a few years back. That shouldn't mean shit for this year, but it does. It's biased bullshit.

I'm really just sick of the complete knob slobbing that BCS schools get in all of this bullshit. Guess what? If Houston beats Southern Miss this weekend, they will have beaten FOUR schools with winning records (8-4 Louisiana Tech, 7-5 SMU, 8-4 Tulsa, and 10-2 Southern Miss).

COMPLETE AND UTTER BULLSHIT I TELL YOU.
