A new edition of EA Sports‘ Madden NFL has become as sacrosanct as the game of football itself when it comes to the annual rites of fall. While obtaining a copy of Madden NFL 12 on its release date of August 30th would be sweet, greater glory is attached to getting one’s hands on the Madden EA VIP Kit. With just 50 units made, the kit comes in special packaging and features an early copy of Madden NFL 12, a pair of Monster headphones, a New Era snap back emblazoned with the words “I am the Madden curse,” and a customized silver PS3 with “It’s Time” stamped in bold block letters on the console.

Thanks IOU, my greatest moment had to be my league game against the Raiders

Saints (me) vs Raiders (friend)

46 seconds were left on the clock with the Raiders just extending the lead to 4. The Saints would start out at the 20-yard line. The 1st play would be an incomplete pass, 42 seconds. The 2nd play 23-yard completion to Lance Moore, 38 seconds. 3rd play 12-yd completion to Reggie Bush, 34 seconds. 4th play was an incomplete pass and a holding penalty that pushed us back to the Saints 45-yd line, 12 seconds. 5th play 37-yd complete pass to Devery Henderson down to the Oakland 17-yd line, 4 seconds. 6th play incomplete pass to Marques Colston with 1 second remaining.
1 second left Brees would drop back step to the left then fire a bullet to Henderson on the left who had a half step on Raider DB Chris Johnson. Henderson would make the one-handed grab for the TD, Saints win with no time left on the clock.

Brees went 18-28, 340 yards with 2 TD's and no Int's

The guy who was the Raiders eventually went on to win our Super Bowl against the Bears (Nickel Bowl is what we call it). I ended up losing in the conference semifinal to the Bears.
