Today, we take our first look at the NFC West with the ratings for the 49ers and Cardinals.

First thing I'd do if I'm playing as the 49ers is insert rookie quarterback Colin Kaepernick. EA Sports made Kaepernick a player who can make an immediate virtual impact with 85 speed, 92 throwing power, 84 throwing accuracy medium. The kid can just flat out play, and makes the 49ers a fun team to control in the game.
As for the Cardinals, this team is going to look a lot different once you get the online roster update when "Madden" ships, and that's great news as Arizona was the lowest rated team in the game before they found their new quarterback. I expect big things from the Kolb-to-Fitzgerald connection, both in the game and in real life.
