Hey solidice, I got this from Utopia, Can you explain what 2x2, 3x1 and 4x1 one is. I think setup with be great for florida. Which I run with online.

Okay your 6 main concepts are:
    Mesh
    Shallow Series, Y, X, Z, and H
    Smash
    Corner Y, X, and Z
    4 Verts
    Stick
Leach and his Disciples use the Shallow Cross series as a base. So you should too.

Y is the more common, but the point of the Raid is to run the same concepts with different LOOKS (includes different receivers run the base routes.) Thus, Z, X, and H are used in the mix.

Leach used a base play script of
    1. Y Shallow
    2. H Shallow
    3. X Shallow
    4. Z Shallow

The QB would call the base, come out and read the D, Safeties down. He would audible based on his reads. You can watch several hours of footage from his days at TTU and you will see him run the Cross Series 5-6 times in a row, then go over the top when the defense cheats up.

So lets say I have 10 formations in my CPB.
    Form A. (3,1,1 personnel 2x2)
    Y Stick
    Shallow Y, Z, and H
    Y Corner
    Mesh
    Smash
    4 Verts
    Jailbreak
HB Dive, Power O, Sweep, Counter, Draw
    2-3 PAs off the runs

    Form B. (4,1 personnel 2x2 normal)
    Same plays as Form A.

Form C. (4,1 personnel, weak flex, HB Wk)
    H Stick
    Shallow, H and X
    X Corner
    Smash
    4 Verts
    Mesh
    Bubble
    Run series

Form D. (3,1,1 personnel, strong flex, HB WK)
    Same as Form C.

Form E (3,1,1 personnel, Strong Trips)
    Stick
    Smash
    4 Verts
    Shallow Y, Z, and X
    Mesh
    Double Post
    Jailbreak
    Run Series

    Form F (3, 2 personnel, Strong flex)
    Same set as Form E

Form G (4,1 personnel, weak trips)
    Form E

Form H (4,1 Personnel, Strong Trips)
    Form E

    Form I (4,1 Personnel, Outside Flex 2x2)
    Form A

Form J (4 wide, 1 TE or 5 wide personnel, if you can find the package, 3,1,1 personnel that will piss off someone not prepared for what they face.)
    Form E

So 10 Formations that Changes personnel and different flexs and alignments with the same base plays in each set.

    thanks,

    john

    Ace - Big
    Ace - Big Twins
    Ace - Jumbo Z
    Ace - Jumbo Heavy
    Shotgun - Spread Flex
    Shotgun - Split Twins
    Shotgun - Split Slot
    Shotgun - Split Offset
    Shotgun - Slot F Wing
    Shotgun - 5WR Trey
    Shotgun - Trips Open
    Shotgun - Tight
    Shotgun - Trips TE
    Shotgun - Twin TE Flex
    Shotgun - Twin TE
    Shotgun - Bunch Quads
    I-Form - Normal
    I-Form - Tight
    I-Form - Twins Flex
    I-Form - Y-Trips
    I-Form - Tackle Over
    Pistol - Slot
    Pistol - Weak Slot
    Pistol - Full House Diamond
    Strong I - Tight
    Strong I - Normal
    Strong I - Close
    Strong I - Y-Trips
    Weak I - Close Twins
    Flexbone - Normal
    Wishbone - Wide
    Wishbone - Tight
    Power I - Weak
    Power I - Normal
WOW!! I would never get through all of that with the play clock, but that is an impressive array to choose from.

    john,

I also saw this over there and the 2x2 3x1x1, etc is the makeup of the receiving and running corps.

2x2 = would be like a QUADS or 2 receivers on each side of the OL. So if it says 3,1,1 personnel 2x2 that would be 3WR, 1 TE, 1 RB in QUADS.
4,1 = 4 WR 1 RB and then you would say 2x2 (Quads) or Trips, Flex, Weak Trips, etc.

    I hope that makes sense.

Ya it makes sense now, thanks for the help. So, I just pick my favorite shotgun formations and plug in the plays that is talked about above? You think a man can run with a playbook like this?

Do you mean for their current personnel? Or you play-style or both?

I would assume that texas would pretty much work with any PB since they have such a strong recruiting background. Even if you started with your own CPB it wouldn't take long to get the right people for the right spots.
