Help Shape NCAA Football: Band Locations

This may kinda sound off topic but, will the fight songs and other music sound more like the actual band played it this year or not? And will we be able to see like the band close- up during a cut-scene or something? That would be awesome!

I'd imagine we're still a little ways off before the team will be talking about anything specific in NCAA Football 12. This call for information seems more like something they'll hold onto until they can fully implement it into the game, but after the improvement from NCAA 10 to NCAA 11 I'd imagine we'll see little things changing from year to year to keep the progress going.

I'm thinking the Temple band is actually in 115 in JB's photo... notice the sliver of a section just past the tunnel, then notice section 113 in the seating chart.

Here is what I am seeing.



107 is it's own sliver to the left of the tunnel.
To the left of the yellow 108 are railings indicating a small sliver of seats, which would have the band in 109.
Not saying it's right, but it seems to be the only thing that fits IMO.

Hmm... I can't be certain but to me, the section just past the tunnel is too narrow to be 106. That's the tipping point for me.

Now that does swing things the other way, but the 115 area doesn't appear to (according to the seating chart) have that small sliver of a seating section like 109 does beside it. It could be either one at this point though.

Had to do some more detective work here, but I'm fairly sure that the San Jose State band sits in Section 132 or 133; hard to tell with the angle from the photos you'll see shortly.

Look under the "J" banner in this picture and you'll see the band in the stands:

HA! Good timing, Paakaa! I think my pic is more recent based on the field art, but I'll keep looking now since bands typically don't move much (except in the case of Temple, apparently). Mine would have them embedded with the students, I believe.

EDIT - If yours is right, that would make it 114 I think. Notice in the seating chart how one end zone has three bleacher sets in the front and the other has four. I think you need to flip the stadium around to match your pic.

EDIT 2 - I've added a couple pics to mine. I think 128 is correct, but want you (and/or others) to verify.

I think I'm on the right side of the seating chart; there's no second deck on that side of the field, which jives with the section numbers I listed in my original post.

I would go along with Section 128; your pictures look considerably more recent, and they seem to fit with the updated seating chart.

Amazing find here; I've pretty well pinpointed the band section thanks to a gigapan picture.

Looks like the band sits in Section 129 of the stadium to me.

First pic I have seen with an open gap for the band (LINK).

This is one of the few up-to-date seating charts.



Based on this pic of Legion Field (same bleachers), each row of steps is only half a set of bleachers. IE: First two sections are 31, and so on.

Considering how nigh-impossible it had been to find anything on UAB myself, I'm willing to take your word for it on this and roll with this section haha. Looks like we've only got UTEP to go now, which is a tough one because the name of the stadium is shared with a bowl game name: Sun Bowl.
