The Rise, Fall, and Rebuilding of the Western Michigan Broncos

THE RISE, FALL, AND REBUILDING OF THE WESTERN MICHIGAN BRONCOS

    WESTERN MICHIGAN BRONCOS
    A "DEATH PENALTY" DYNASTY

    HOUSE RULES
    SYSTEM: PS3
    DIFFICULTY: All-American
    RECRUITING: All-American
    ROSTERS: Luvtotha9s
    SLIDERS: Oneback's AA

Hello everyone. This will be a NCAA "Death Penalty" Dynasty. I will build up the Western Michigan Broncos to a 4-Star or 5-Star program, win a couple bowl games, and possibly A BCS National Championship within just a few short years (more details on how I will achieve this will follow soon). Then I will strike them down with the NCAA Death Penalty. From there, I will rebuild them into a true National Power without them cheating.

    DYNASTY "HOW-TO"

So, this is going to be my first attempt at a "Death Penalty" dynasty. Most of the NCAA Death Penalty dynasties that I have followed, the teams were given the Death Penalty right away, and after a few years of simming, the rebuilding process began. Plus, most of the Death Penalty dynasties that I have followed were bigger programs and then were rebuilt. I will be taking Western Michigan, turning them into a National Power by "cheating", then striking them down with the "Death Penalty", and then rebuilding them big up into a true National Power, without "cheating." So this dynasty will take me quite some time, as I'm going to be playing through a few years, simming through a few years, and then taking back control until WMU is a National Power, a 6-Star School, in a AQ-Conference such as the Big Ten, and have won a legit National Championship.

    How This Will Be Achieved
    - I will create 4-Star and 5-Star recruits during the 2010 Pre-Season
    - I will make all these recruits punters or kickers, giving them zero kick power and zero kick accuracy so that it will be easier for Western Michigan to recruit them (Making them 1-Star recruits in-game, when they actually should be 4-Star or 5-Star recruits)
    - In doing this, it will simulate Western Michigan giving these recruits "improper benefits" in order for them to sign with WMU.
    - I will SIM through the 2010 games.
    - I will take control of the team during the years 2011-2013.
    - During this time, I will only recruit 1-Star athletes and accept walk-ons, to speed up the Death Penalty process.
    - After the 2010 Recruits have graduated and/or entered the Draft early, I will give Western Michigan the death penalty.
    - I will then take back control of the Western Michigan Broncos. I will hire a new head coach. Build them into a "true" 6-Star program, build them into a "true" National Power, get them invited to hopefully the Big Ten, and win A BCS National Championship with them.

    CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT

I shuffled around some teams for this dynasty. Some teams, I moved to Conferences that they will actually be moving to the real 2011 and 2012 seasons. Others, I moved because it either A.) Made sense for what I was trying to achieve B.) Wanted to see how they would do in that particular conference or C.) Because I had no other choice from the shuffling I was doing.

    Teams Making Moves

    BAYLOR joins the MWC
    NEVADA joins the MWC
    FRESNO STATE joins the MWC

REASONS: I wanted Nevada and Fresno State to be part of the MWC like they will be in real life. Baylor was taken out of the Big 12 South so that TCU could join the Big 12 South.

SMU joins the BIG 12 NORTH
ILLINOIS joins the BIG 12 NORTH
BOISE STATE joins the BIG 12 NORTH
TCU joins the BIG 12 SOUTH

REASONS: Beings how SMU received the Death Penalty in real life, and this is a Death Penalty Dynasty, I wanted to see how well SMU would do back in a bigger conference like when they were part of the SWC; so I placed them in the Big 12. Illinois joined the Big 12 so that Nebraska could join the Big Ten. I placed TCU in the Big 12 South, so they can still have a spot in a AQ-Conference, and because geographically, it made sense, and placing them in the Big East makes no sense in my opinion. And for Boise State, I was going to place them into the MWC like they are going to be in real life, but since they are my favorite team, I wanted to see how well they would do in a bigger conference. Very curious.

    COLORADO joins the PAC 10
    UTAH joins the PAC 10

REASONS: These are the moves they are making in real life.

    COLORADO STATE joins the WAC
    ARIZONA joins the WAC
    ARIZONA STATE joins the WAC

REASONS: In order to get Nevada/Fresno State to the MWC and Utah and Colorado to the PAC 10, these were some of the moves I just made. I was going to place Washington and Washington State into the WAC instead of AZ and AZ State, but eventually decided to go this rout.

    NEBRASKA joins the BIG TEN

REASON: This is the move Nebraska is making in real life.

    IOWA STATE joins C-USA WEST

REASON: Made this move to get SMU into the BIG 12.

    THE SEASON RECAP - 2010

    - The BOISE STATE BRONCOS made history in 2010 by winning the BIG XII during their first year in the conference. They defeated Oklahoma 41 to 27 in the BIG XII Championship. Boise State was ranked No. 1 before the BIG XII Championship game, and with their win over Oklahoma, they cemented their spot into the BCS National Championship. The Broncos faced off against ACC Champs, Virginia Tech in the BCS National Championship game. Boise State dominated VA Tech by beating them 35 to 6 on rout to their first ever BCS National Championship.

    - The Crimson Tide rolled against Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl, 48 to 17.
    - AUBURN defeated Florida State 37 to 35 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
    - STANFORD defeated Big East Champions, Pittsburgh 40 to 3 in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
    - Washington handled Iowa, 35 to 18 in the Rose Bowl.

    - ANDREW LUCK of Stanford won the 2010 Heisman Trophy. Runners Up included Kellen Moore of Boise State and Jake Locker of Washington.

    - SMU finished 11th in the BIG XII. Going 2-6 in Conference Play. Not exactly the way they wanted their first season back into a power conference going.

    WESTERN MICHIGAN'S 2010 SEASON

    - The WESTERN MICHIGAN BRONCOS finished the 2010 season with 7 wins and 6 losses, while going 6-2 in MAC play.
    - WMU finished 3rd in the MAC.
    - WMU pulled out a TOP 5 RECRUITING CLASS behind Coach Bill Cubit.
    - WMU lost to Navy in the EagleBank Bowl, 24 to 7.
    - WMU still hasn't won a single bowl game.
    - WMU had ZERO ALL-NCAA All-Americans.

Looking good, Blue. My Resurrection Dynasty is also going to be a DP dynasty, so it'll be good to see two Death Penalty dynasties going here.
