Yeah. I'm not a big soccer fan, but I've been following the US qualification and will watch the world cup. The US really needs to make it out of the group stage, and we got a pretty good draw to do so. I'm excited.

I was in Brazil in 2006 & I've been hooked ever since. Some of the craziest partyin of my life man! I'm goin back down there in 2014 to stay with some buddies & hopefully catch a game or 2. That whole country shut down when the games were in Germany, I can't imagine what it'll be like with the games in Brazil!

I won't closely follow it, but I'll probably watch a few games.

It blows me away that we are even in the same breath as England. I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if we even score a goal against them, much less win.

I'm pulling for USA winning against England, but I think Spain may end up winning it all. But then again, USA did beat Spain earlier this year.

Wow, a 1-1 draw for the US.

Can't believe that goal went in for Dempsey. Got fuckin' lucky there.

Now we just gotta take care of business against the "lesser" teams and we should be ok.

That was such a sloppy goal. Can't believe a World Cup goalie did something like that.

So who else thinks USA got SERIOUSLY screwed by the ref earlier today? That goal by Edu should have counted, there was no reason to disallow it. Plus I love how our guy gets a phantom penalty called on him, and yet two or three of our guys were being bear hugged and pretty much mugged and molested by Slovenia players and thus weren't able to make plays on the ball themselves, and the ref completely ignores all of that. Pardon the language, but that call by the ref was amateurish bullshit! There is no place for such pathetic crap and calls like that in the World Cup.

I know very little about soccer, but even I wondered how we had that goal called back when about three US players were being hugged/mugged. Then there was no real explanation of the call? It makes it tough for rookies like myself to get into the event and sport when things like this happen. Hopefully they can rout Algeria in the next match.

Yeah apparently the refs screwed up big time here.

I played soccer all the way up through higschool and had some D2 offers but chose to stop playing. That was the absolute worst call I have EVER seen. Even commentators from other countries' networks were shocked at the call.

Well the US draw in the knock out stage couldn't have been much better. If they can survive the crazy pro-Ghana crowd I could see them making the semis and then who knows.
