    Small patch yesterday.

I’d like to see them patch a tiny detail for sliders. When I switch between user and human please don’t bring me back to the top of the menu. Leave it at the same spot please. I thought it was like that in ‘19 but not this year.

Also, the lag on tipoffs is really long this year. Ball goes up let us jump immediately please. Not sure why there is such a delay.

Just noticed after the patch they have a defensive coverage percentage indicator on every player. It’s distracting at first. I think I may like it but am not sure lol. It doesn’t always show up. Not sure why either.

I think stamina is punished harder now. I use auto subs and I see guys getting more tired. By end of game quite a few Gatorade symbols. And maybe as a result I saw my second in game injury. Right wrist to Giannis on a loose ball.

One thing I’m not happy with is the removal of ratings for players. There are no longer contested shot ratings, shooting on the move or a few other things. That’s a very poor decision imo. Pure shooters can still shoot well in lightly contested situations while guys like Valenciunus or Gasol and some players can shoot the 3 well but only when absolutely wide open or they won’t even try. Now the game relies solely on badges for that stuff. Shoot off pick and roll or off the catch or steady shooter to avoid contested penalties. It’s not as good and some people are rightly upset. Surprised they would take a back step to sim in this area.

User FT slider definitely broken. Does virtually nothing. Can’t see much difference between 0 and 50. Hope they fix it.

Double teams much better now. Less frequent and smarter.

Good pick setters can really knock a guy back this year. I’ve seen Reggie get injured and in this last game a subtle stumble by Bruce Brown. When playing the Heat at home with the Pistons the crowd started a “Beat the Heat!” Chant in the 4th that was cool. I do think the DHO could be better and they don’t execute the handoff sometimes. Almost wonder if ‘19 might be a bit better here when running it manually.

The dribbling is a lot more subtle and realistic. You can’t just put your head down and drive or mash special moves. Sometimes you just drift and wait for an opening. I need to get better at being more patient.

2K has taken a lot of heat from the online community due to some bugs and glitches and they have said they are working hard. I haven’t followed some of the MyPlayer bugs but I think MuLeague has player option contract issues. I can wait. Just doing Play Now all the time.

You can really notice the defensive attributes. Reggie Jackson on the Pistons can’t guard people (most of their wings are like that). Some guys and teams I play you can beat the guys off the dribble fairly easily. Then you play against a good defensive player like Lonzo Ball or Butler or anyone with the Clamps badge and it’s a completely different story. Far more differentiation in that regard compared to last year.

Also, don’t forget to flick up sometimes with your dribble move. Just a basic crossover or signature move that looks really natural when you are starting to attack or run the offence.

Paul George destroyed me on offence. And the defence of Beverly, PG and Kawhi really made me struggle shooting outside with Harden or getting to the rack with Westbrook at times. But this was a sweet move and dunk.

Played 3 games this morning after the patch. Seemed pretty similar to me. Cpu gave me a bit of a harder challenge perhaps. Seemed like they blocked a few more shots and maybe were more aggressive in going for steals but overall I’m not sure I would have said anything was different if I didn’t notice there was a patch.

I’m still enjoying the game. I do think the drive and kick game is weak. I’d like to see more of that. Most of my stats are good though. I like the points in paint I’m getting, fast break, off rebounds. Can’t really complain about too much for me although I would like to see a few more 3s. Errant pass turnovers are too low but I find those frustrating so I don’t mind lol.

The user FT slider in Play Now is still broken. Put it a 0 or 50 or 100 and it doesn’t really matter. Still way too easy to make FTs on all star. Went 10/10 with Pistons in last game. I’m not joking when I say I might have hit 29 of my last 30 in game. Maybe when I go to MyLeague and have those other sliders I can fix it but I’m surprised nobody else in Play Now is noticing how easy it is to hit FTs. And last year I was just under 70% as a team on AS so something has changed quite a bit. It’s my biggest pet peeve atm.

the quick sub menu is glitchy at times. Sometimes you hit the button and nothing seems to happen. And heaven help me if I do it on an in bound play. Do not do that as sometimes it locks you out and you suffer a 5 second violation.

I finally started a franchise (MyLeague). I've read there are issues with team options on contracts after year one. Not crazy about the fact the default rosters don't have my two way players or the Pistons draft and stash Lithunian but I want to get started. I've also read that morale plays a bigger factor this year although there are sliders to help with chemistry and morale. There are specific game style sliders for MyLeague but I plan on leaving that on default.

Was down 14 to the Bulls in my first game as they were hot from downtown early (5/7). I heated up in the second half and took game 1 of the season. Looking forward to tracking stats.

If anyone wants to check out my sliders they can here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing. I've also got them loaded to 2KShare (under rudyjuly2, name rudyonline).

There are definitely glitches with the sub menus. You shouldn't try to do it on dead balls as I've said. Furthermore, the game no longer automatically subs in your starters for the 2nd half. Whoever ended up on the first floor at the buzzer comes out for the second half. To avoid this there is a down arrow d-pad quick sub before the second half starts. I hit it, select starters, and it's not working.

Reading people say the speed is constantly changing, even offline, in NBA 2K20 didn't make sense to me. I haven't experienced outside 1 update. Mike Wang confirms.

I don’t know if the last update did anything but I reset my difficulty to all star and reloaded my sliders. Now I’ve seen a missed free throw! In fact the cpu only went 6-10 and I missed my first free throw! Through 9 games now I’m shooting 98.5% from the line lol. I’m seeing realistic FT percentage probabilities on release now instead of always super high ones. Not sure if this was a bug or what.

A few people on OS were complaining about rebounding and while there may be some concerns at times I think it’s good. After 15 games of a season with Detroit my offensive rebound percentage is 31.4% which is good because of Dre. The cpu offensive rebound % against me is 24.6%. I see no issues with that overall.

I’m glad the rebounding ratings matter this year. You want to play small ball you will get hurt on the glass. It makes players like Drummond and Capela more valuable instead of automatically being guys that you look to dump because they can’t create or shoot 3s. Are some of those players a little over powered individually on the offensive glass? Probably. But so are most offensive stars who you can dominate with and score tons of points with too. Much like good defensive players, especially those with clamps, the ratings really matter this year and I’m glad the defensive and rebounding specialists stand out instead of being useless like in the past.

I never see anyone complain that they score too much with their big scorers. But as soon as an offensive rebound specialist gets a few extra against them they start whining. I think the 2K game has really made players stand out based on their strengths. I’d much rather have a sports video game where great players are really noticed instead of teams feeling very generic which has long been a complaint of virtually all EA games.

In MyLeague they have home court advantage. You see the rating at the beginning of the game. LCA was a B+ to start but now I am a little above .500 and it went up to A- after 20+ games.

This might not be a Griffin signature move but he does flop a bit with contact and his reaction here is great en route to a dunk.

I have the speed threshold sliders at 85/15 to address the lack of speed differences in some players. It was supposed to be a main feature this year but some slow bigs can keep up to people. Gonna be addressed in the next patch.

Tear drop. I will also say that I just finished my 29 game season and I never suffered an injury. Saw some in Play now but not season. Twice in my season I got fouled on a 3 pointer. Something I never saw last year.
