Technically there is a game on Wednesday, though it's not on TV, so getting this week's schedule up now instead of waiting until sometime later Wednesday.

Also, Hurricane Florence is making a mess of this week's schedule, and things could end up an even bigger mess.

UCF at North Carolina, East Carolina at Virginia Tech, West Virginia at NC State, Charleston Southern at The Citadel, NC Central at South Carolina State, Norfolk State at Liberty and Tennessee State at Hampton have all been cancelled or postponed already, and more are likely to follow as the hurricane isn't supposed to make landfall in the Carolinas until Friday sometime.

Ohio at Virginia is still scheduled to be played this weekend, however Virginia has announced that the game is being moved to Nashville and will be played at Vanderbilt Stadium.

Jesus, talk about racking up points last night.

Utah State beat Tennessee Tech 73-12
James Madison beat Robert Morris 73-7
    Davidson beat Guilford 91-61

According to the notification on my phone, there were only 6 D-1 teams to score 73+ points in games in the entirety of last season. Three did it in a single night last night.

You add in the first two weeks of the season, and we're already up to ten teams having reached 73+ points so far this season (including Ohio State's 77-31 beatdown of Oregon State, Fresno State's 79-13 massacre of Idaho, Miami's 77-0 destruction of Savannah State, Texas Tech's 77-0 thumping of Lamar, Ole Miss beating Southern Illinois 76-41, Bethune-Cookman manhandling Virginia University of Lynchburg 79-16 and Alcorn State shutting out Louisiana College 78-0).

We're only in week three, and we've already almost doubled the amount of teams scoring 73+ points in a game compared to last season. That is a lot of points being scored and a lot of offense we're seeing so far this season.

I just updated the schedule with new postponements and cancellations. Most of them were FCS games, but two new FBS games cancelled or postponed include Marshall at South Carolina and Southern Miss at Appalachian State.

I wonder if Scott Frost is wishing he had stayed at UCF right now. Talk about a rocky start.

Meanwhile, Kansas! What the hell. I mean, I know Rutgers sucks, but Jesus, I never expected Kansas to just bitchslap the hell out of Rutgers like that!

As for Wisconsin, I watched that field goal kick live. God I felt horrible for that Wisconsin kicker. And you can plainly see he was pissed with himself afterwards. He was making some choice statements to himself while walking off the field afterwards while they had the camera on him. I'm not the best of lip reading, but I'm pretty sure he was letting some angry and very frustrated "fucks" fly as he walked off.

I think Frost is fine, but realizing he has more work ahead of him that he initially thought. Poor o-line, no QB depth, and based on some postgame comments, maybe some guys who aren't fully bought in yet. (Maybe not 'bought in' so much as not cut out for the necessary work.) Right now, they are probably looking at 2-4 wins this year, unless the QB can come back 100% and stay healthy this year, special teams quit committing a penalty on every play, OL getting a push on 3rd & short, and defense getting lucky once or twice a game. If took him until around game four or five in his first season at UCF to get things going in the right direction, so maybe they can catch fire and surprise a few teams. Right now, the goal is to play spoiler IMO. Making a bowl was my goal for the season, but right now I'd say that's not likely.

I completely missed this 'trick' play from UNT-Ark:

Of course, instead of the blame not being on Arkansas for listening for a whistle, there's speculation that the NCAA will make a rule against this play.

Someone could seriously get hurt trying this against the wrong team. Don't get me wrong, I laughed at it working because it really never should have. There were four guys unblocked with their heads up that should have seen the lack of a fair catch. When was the last time someone did this type of trick play? I can't recall one but I assure you that every special teams coach in the nation will show their team this play. Do not see it getting called anytime soon. NCAA overreaction is almost to be expected in this age of covering your ass to the point of insanity.
