So instead of getting a good update for roster edits or Play Now games we don't get an updated roster and are rewarded with a virtual clothing store? So disappointed in the direction this game has gone.

I don't mind such features as this, but do find it disappointing it seems the traditional NBA gameplay & features are being cast aside.

The roster lady from last year is back from maternity leave and tweeted she was working on a big roster update. We'll see...she would now make at least the third person to work on them this year. Some stability and focus in this area would help.
