Madden NFL 18 - Soundtrack Announced

Madden NFL 18 drops on August 25. That means it’s time to turn up with a new soundtrack. This year’s soundtrack isn’t just a playlist of top 40 tracks, it’s an audio experience inspired by game day and the unique features of Madden.

The Madden soundtrack has a history of debuting hits and never-before released tracks, including artists like Lupe Fiasco, OK Go, and Fall Out Boy. This season, the soundtrack features 32 bangers from some of the biggest artists in the game like Big Sean, Imagine Dragons, Steve Aoki, and Rick Ross. There are also some fresh names you should be paying attention to as well, like Lil Uzi Vert, Chaz French, Amir Obé, and Davie. Also, for the first time ever, Snoop makes an appearance on the Madden soundtrack.

Music is vital to both the Madden and NFL experience. It helps players like Russell Wilson focus during pregame, sparks Travis Kelce to swag out after snagging a TD, and helps Jameis Winston cool down post game. The heat on this soundtrack not only keeps you locked in during gameplay, but it’s guaranteed to keep the function going if they pass you the aux cord.

Calvin Harris gets help from the “American Teen” Kahlid and Future for some mellow pregame vibes with “Rollin.” This track is perfect pull up pregame music with dope verses, a crisp hook, and incredible production.

With his soulful “Go On,” Snoop proves that experience is just as valuable as talent, something that New Orleans Saints RB Adrian Peterson will be looking to prove this season.

A song like Aloe Blacc’s “King Is Born” is the perfect track, and could easily be considered the theme song of Madden 18. Blacc is the king of motivation music, so it’s not a stretch he comes through with another epic anthem. Not necessarily an anthem, but Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA” is quickly becoming iconic. The track off his multi-platinum album “DAMN” finds Kendrick delivering one of his most surgical verses. This is Tom Brady in the fourth quarter, eviscerating the defense.

Action Bronson’s infectious “Let Me Breathe” captures the dramatic ups and downs of the new story mode, Longshot. It’s classic lyrical Bronson, with just the right amount of bounce. Meek Mill’s “Glow Up” also helps capture the essence of the story mode’s rise from obscurity to notoriety narrative. Mill’s high-pitched explosive delivery will make you want to break through the O-line, like J.J. Watt.

Chaz French’s “Squad” is select screen music at its finest. French, a D.C. native; addresses the very real rivalry between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys with a universal approach you can apply to any matchup. His debut album “True Colors” is sure to make some noise. There’s another “French” featured on this soundtrack who’s known for making some of the hottest club records. It’s French Montana, who gets an assist from Pharrell and they connect like Aaron Rodgers to Randall Cobb on “Bring Dem Thangs.”

You’re getting plenty of fire collaborations on this soundtrack. Big Boi’s “Kill Jill” features a ridiculous verse from Killer Mike and a classic hook from Jeezy. The Pro Bowl roster of ‪A$AP Rocky, Quavo, Uzi, Frank Ocean, and Playboi Carti sets it off on “RAF.” Just imagine what it would sound like if Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., and Julio Jones lined up on the same team. Make “RAF” your go-to when combining rosters with your friends in MUT.

Some other standouts on the soundtrack are grime superstar Stormzy’s “Big For Your Boots,” Travis Scott’s “A Man,” and “OMG” featuring a tag-team effort from Vic Mensa and Pusha T. Listen to the Madden NFL 18 soundtrack and make sure to follow the EA SPORTS Madden NFL on Spotify. New tracks are added every Madden Music Monday throughout the season.
