If you're part of the Xbox Preview program, go into your Preview Dashboard, where it says Registration, go into that and then click Change. You'll have a couple options.
You can stay with the existing Xbox UI, you can opt-in to the new UI or you can even elect to leave the preview program altogether.
According to the description, they push out updates to those who have opted in approximately twice a week. I opted in last Tuesday, and didn't get my update pushed to me until sometime overnight this morning. So it could be a week or so of waiting before you'd see an update pushed to you.
Ate you getting new BC games soon? Friend at work got sucked into buying halo 1 by eb games for xbox one when he had the old game on his 360. EB games did that.
For the Xbox Preview Program, you had (still have to?) to be invited in by someone already in it. I think Beatn invited me in last year.
Alright, I invited you. Trying to go off memory here, but I think the Xbox team has to send you a message with a code to download and install the preview Dashboard app and register your Xbox in the program. I might be wrong, but either way I invited you so you should either get some message or some sort of notification in the coming days.
New Xbox One Experience and Backwards Compatibility coming November 12th to ALL users.
Yep, I've been enjoying it.
Only issue I had was not being able to format an external drive. It would crash whenever it got to the point of naming your external drive. The update they released overnight Sunday night/Monday morning fixed that.
My external drive is now formatted and I've been reinstalling digital games nonstop since middle of the night Sunday night. Still got one or two yet to go. And then it's on to my disc-based games.
Other than that issue, where I had a $100 paper weight for 6 days, I haven't had any problems or major bugs with the new experience.
Don't know about yours, but mine seems slower to auto-sign me on via the Kinect than it did with the old UI. I've found it faster to move left to the Guide and then manually sign on. Not that I've recalibrated it or anything to try to fix it, lol.Quote:

Now it's the waiting game... will NCAA 14 be backwards compatible??? In advance of it being backwards, I am already planning out in my head, starting as a DC for a MAC team. Let the good times role!!!
Burnout Paradise was announced as a title that will be BC.
I know it's probably a pipe dream (I'd love it if it was BC). My question is, why on earth would Microsoft touch that with a 10 foot stick? Will they really make a game that was the center of a lawsuit a game that will work on their new system/firmware?
It just seems like that is going to open up a can of worms, Xbox1 is still making money and Microsoft is still making money so why wouldn't some yahoos go out and sue for some of that money?
I don't agree with suing and that mentality but past history shows it doesn't matter what I think, otherwise the NCAA game would still be made, no?
