Just got myself the entire collection, time to watch them again!
Some more clarification on single player...
You will always play as Jason, there will not be an option to be a counselor and have a "bot" Jason. They said it would be extremely expensive and difficult to make a "bot" Jason.
It would be nice to have the option, but ultimately I just want to play add Jason anyway. :)

They've added Jason being able to break windows so that trolls can't hop in and out of them in a looping fashion to avoid Jason. If the window is broken, the shards of glass will cut the counselor. If they do it enough times, they'll get wounded enough to slow them and limit their movements.
