Based on the previous roster update, it appears the game can now move players to new squads without an in-game update. This would allow recent trades and signings to be reflected automatically in-game an hour after a game where they play with their new squad.
The update also added cover athlete Damian Lillard's signature shoe, the D Lillard 1 by adidas.
