So they still aren't going to address the unbelievably great zone defenses no matter the team?

We don't know that either way. Those are the only two issues there has been any sort of confirmation for. I think it's safe to assume there will be gameplay changes, but they could also come via a Live Tuning Package.

yeah, zones just need to be tuned a bit. no sarcasm.

Don't agree. They need to raise the trajectory of the ball and then that will simultaneously fix like 5 issues.

Agreed, but you have to admit that players dropping back in zone always know where your going to place the ball and begin moving into position within a slip second of it being thrown.

I've gone so far as to adjust the AI's pass coverage to 0 and it's still almost impossible to complete a pass when they are in zone. Middle linebackers drop back and bat everything down over the middle, SS and FS just drift off to the one person your intending to throw to even if there is 5 WRs on routes. They should not know exactly when you've thrown the ball and be able to react that fast.

This should only happen with certain players on certain teams, all teams don't have outstanding CB, FS, and SS. So all of them should not play like they are Overall 100 players.

Right now how it works is that they react as soon as you press the button... so if you lob it, they have an extra half second to react. I think it would work much better if they reacted at the release of the button instead. I'd at least be curious to see the difference.

Honestly, if they changed that, I'm pretty sure defense would be entirely broken again. I mean, the entire reason why defense is good right now is because of how quickly the defenders react along with the improved AI. If you slow down the reaction time, it's going to be '11 all over again with no pass defense. Like I said, I'm almost positive that if EA raised the ball trajectory, this particular issue would end up getting better, too.

It's the reaction time of the defenders and not the trajectory of the ball. The trajectory is just fine. A bullet pass is not going to have loft on it, that's why it's called a bullet pass.

I actually disagree... the trajectory should be adjusted somewhat IMO.

      (shrugs)

I've had no issues with the trajectory at all. I've been able to lay a pass in there correctly and I've been unable to because the defender is closer than they look. Personally, I think it's perfectly fine and people are truthfully over-analyzing something that is a non-issue.

You're using sliders in which the AI is dumbed down. You're not floating it over their heads, they're just choosing to ignore it. Throw a couple post routes in zone coverage on default sliders and I'd be willing to bet you'll have a different result.

35 Accuracy combined with 40 Coverage isn't really "dumbed down", but ok.

What do you mean? Looking at your sliders, Pass Coverage is at 40, so it's dumbed down there. Pass coverage being at 40 is exactly why people who use your sliders don't see the issue I'm talking about, which is fine. Congrats to you for finding a solution. But when it comes to online play, I don't want my defenders to be dumb. I want the ball to be thrown higher like it should on intermediate passes.

I've played at 50 and still don't think trajectory is a problem.

Im going to have to agree with the trajectory factoring in to be a problem. Last night I threw a comeback route from the right hash to the reciever that was on the left side of the field and a cornerback playing a zone maybe 3-5 yards off the LOS swatted it down. In the game the trajectory of the pass was flat but in real life there would be an arc to the ball. Maybe there just needs to be an in-between option between the lob and bullet pass?

Can they please tune punts always bouncing into the end zone? Its frustrating that as good as the CPU D is that there is no ability to pin them deep. I would say out of 100 punts i have downed 2. Thats horrible and isnt even close to a real game. Please fix this.

I really dont want to get into the CPU ninja awareness on passes...but i notice that the way the CPU plays D you have to have fast WRs to be able to beat the Pass rush and have enough time for your WR to run out of the zone.

I tend to agree with the punting commentary. It seems nearly impossible to "coffin corner" a team as the ball does seem to go through the enzone 9.9 times out of 10.
