• ESPN SportsNation: NCAA Football Traditions Tournament

ESPN SportsNation is partnering with EA SPORTS to give you, the fans, the chance to determine which school has the best tradition in college football.

SportsNation has taken 16 of the best traditions from the college gridiron (narrowed from 25 based upon fan voting on Facebook) and put them in a bracket-style tournament to the death, in which your vote determines which tradition advances. Every Tuesday (at noon ET), they will open a new round of voting until one school is declared the winner. The winning school will receive hundreds of copies of EA's "NCAA Football 12" on the day of game's release (July 12), courtersy of SportsNation and EA SPORTS.

So vote now, then tune in to "SportsNation" (4 p.m. ET, ESPN2) for voting updates and don't forget to share the bracket on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #NCAAFootballTraditions

I'm glad that WVU is in the vote and all, but we definitely don't deserve to be. Truthfully, I've watched WVU football since I was like 7 years old and I just recently knew about the Wheel. It's not a very publicized tradition at WVU.

Singing Country Roads after a win, the musket being fired at the beginning of/end of the game and after every score (after the extra point is converted), and the "Let's Go...Mountaineers" chant are far more notable.

Do you guys sing "Country Roads" only after victories or after all games?

I went to NC State...but I'm sorry, there just isn't anything better than and indian riding a horse with a flaming freaking spear which he slams into the ground in the middle of the field...my vote FSU.

Only after victories at home games (or victories in big bowl games - ala Sugar Bowl over Georgia or Orange Bowl over Oklahoma).

Yeah, now Mr Wolf and Mrs Wolf could be more of a tradition as I think they were the first mascots married... Even our real ram, rameses should have made it in.... He has been apart of gameday traditions at Kenan for more than half a century...

Why is Maryland running from the west endzone, when they should be in the east?!

I would vote for Script Ohio, but since voting requires giving App access to my profile, I will abstain, courteously.

Yeah, that shit is stupid. I hate Facebook for that shit and I did the same. Why not just put up a poll on the EAsports website or somethin'?

Wow, you know some of this stuff was set up intentionally, regardless of voting. Florida vs. Florida State. Oklahoma vs. Texas. Georgia vs. Tennessee. Auburn vs. LSU. If they would have had Ohio State vs. Michigan and Colorado vs. Nebraska, instead of the other way around, I would be absolutely convinced this entire thing is nothing but a massive hack of a tournament.

No offense to our slew of resident Nebraska fans, but seriously? Nebraska beat Ohio State? To me that proves that this "tournament" is full of nothing but idiots voting. Nebraska touching a sign on the wall and running out onto the field is not even in the same ballpark as Script Ohio, and I'm not even a fan of either.

All it boils down to is how many fans of that school care to vote.
