• Help Shape NCAA Football: Band Locations

The NCAA Football team is reaching out to the community and wants your help in gathering team reference details for possible inclusion in the years to come. After asking for info on Cheerleader Chants several months ago, they now want your help in learning where each college football marching band sits in their home stadium, as well as bowl, conference championship and neutral site locations.

Share your team - or any team you know - info in this thread with a photo reference/circling the section on a seating chart image. A written description would also work, but obviously a photo reference would be more beneficial.

UPDATE - Band seating sections have been gathered for ALL venues in NCAA Football. Great work by the community! Feel free to double check the list and make sure the info for your favorite program is correct.

In this Florida-based bowl game, the SEC band sits in Sections 102 and 103 while the Big Ten band appears to sit in Sections 124 or 125.

      Seating Chart:

      From coogrfan:

The band visible in the upper right corner is the visitor's (Texas Tech). UH's band can be seen (barely) at the opposite end of the East stands (Cullen Blvd side).

Bands on opposite side of bleachers in North endzone (Away: Left, Home: Right)

      Here's the Maryland band:

And here's a very small look at the Nevada band section:

Hard to say anything definitive without better pictures, but I think it's right at least for the one year.

      EDIT (cdj)

From the 2009 game, bands in same bleacher section like you stated.

From what I can gather in two separate pictures, the bands are situated in Sections 108 20 (Home) and 132 27 (Away).

Weird. Guess that's what I get for relying on linking things that come up through a basic Google search.

Even though that 3rd photo is a "promo photo" for boosters, I'm sure the empty section is accurate, couple that with the poor quality pic of a TD, it appears the band sits in section 13.
The corner areas are now covered with tarps and blocked off unless of a sellout... I sent a text to a buddy to ask if he could tell me but I haven't heard back from him.

Note to people who can change the list of Teams/Bowl Games; the EagleBank Bowl is now known as the Military Bowl.

Side note: I'm pretty sure that we figured out where the band sits for Rutgers, but I'm not seeing it listed as found in that second post of the thread.

Just trying to figure out for real what we have and what we don't have before I get back to trying to find more band sections here.

Would appreciate other sets of eyes trying to match the photos to the seating chart.

I'd say those are correct. Very confusing since the game is Rutgers vs. Cincinnati - both schools that wear red. Nice find!

Also, I'm editing the table as we speak. Entering the BBVA Compass Bowl now then will get to some of the other changes.

As stated before, what used to be the EagleBank Bowl is now known as the Military Bowl; it is still held at RFK Stadium. I have one image of a band sitting in what looks to be Sections 130 & 131.

Home Band: Top of Section 128
Away Band: Top of Section 116 or 117

It looks as though the band sections sit across from each other on the scoreboard side of EverBank Field, the home of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. The sections look to be Sections 116 & 130.

      Home Team: Section 130
      Away Team: Section 116

Played in the home of the NFL's Detroit Lions, the band sections for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl are Sections 118 & 139.

Home Band: Front Half of Section 118
Away Band: Front Half of Section 139

      Seating Chart:

Hard to see the band across the field in this picture, but you can tell essentially where they are:

I have a few pictures for this game which would seem to suggest different sections; however, I believe that the bands sit in Sections 107 & 110 in front of the scoreboard behind the northern endzone.

      Home Band: Section 110
      Away Band: Section 107

      Seating Chart:

Picture with the two band sections clearly defined on the sides of the scoreboard:

Close-up of band in front of scoreboard before the game; not sure why they would be in this location:

FWIW, I don't think we need to make a particular effort to rename the bowls for the dev team. If nothing else, we'll be lucky if they don't rename themselves ten more times before release. The Military Bowl wasn't even renamed until October :-/

Haven't been able to get great shots of both teams, but I know that one team's band sat in Sections 56-57 in the 2007 game.
