And the Final Four is set.

      (3) Michigan vs (11) Loyola Chicago

      (1) Villanova vs (1) Kansas

Scores and games like that are exactly why I never watch the women's tournament. I'd give them a chance since they play weeknight games when the men aren't playing, but watching UConn destroy every opponent by 50 points (or in this case 82 points) makes it a complete waste of time and kills all interest for me. Maybe when UConn is no longer good and other teams can actually compete.

I was surprised to see that UCONN lost.

Yeah, that shocked me when I saw the notifications on my phone.

UConn isn't unbeatable as proven the other night, and they're not a lone power in women's basketball. Notre Dame, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Baylor are all really good teams. But it's more often than not that UConn beats all of them and wins the title.

I just looked, UConn has won the title 10 times since 2000. From 2008 to 2016, UConn, Notre Dame or both played in the championship game. UConn had a 111 game winning streak until they lost last year in the Final Four. They were back up to 36 games this year when they lost. And the fact they have entered the tournament unbeaten (either 32-0 or 34-0) in four of the last five years. Numbers like those just kill any and all interest for me. If a men's team started putting up those kinds of numbers, I'd stop watching March Madness too.

As for the men's tournament, our championship match up is (3) Michigan vs (1) Villanova.

I was rooting for Loyola Chicago, but now that they're out of the tournament, I'm rooting for Villanova since I drew them in our office pool at work (along with Tennessee, Florida State and New Mexico State).

If Villanova finishes their run off, I got $50 waiting for me at work this week.

I think I'm pulling for Michigan, but if Nova shoots anything like they did the other night they should still win by 20.

I'm pulling for Villanova because fuck Michigan but yeah - I'm expecting a lopsided game.

Aww yeah, Villanova wins the title! I win the office pool and got $50 coming my way this week at work. It makes up for coming in second place by 40 bloody points and missing out on the prize in the TGT pool.
