• MLB The Show 17 - Gamestop MLB Mondays: The Little Things (Part One)

    The latest Gamestop "MLB Mondays" feature reveals some of the 'little things' coming to the game; aspects that will aid in the depth, immersion, and presentation for the user.

    Some of the aspects disclosed: 500+ Diamond Dynasty cards will be released during the season ("many" of which will be brand new), carryover saves can be used from the cloud or console this year, and the return of classic stadiums such as the Metrodome, Shea Stadium, & Yankee Stadium.

    More details will be announced and/or covered in greater detail on Thursday's Twitch livestream.

    - Metrodome, Shea Stadium, & Yankee Stadium will make their PS4 debut in MLB 17.
    - Missions within Franchise Mode
    - Challenge of the Week: New Scoring System & more prizes
    - Special Fan Sections in Specific Stadiums
    - 500 Diamond Dynasty cards released throughout season, many brand new
    - Carryover Saves can be used from the cloud this year versus console only as in the past
    - Sounds of the Show music slots doubled to 1024 spaces, along with more user-editable situations

      They have never had the old Tiger Stadium in the game have they?

      Missions... does that mean like what they do in Madden with goals? Terrible if that's the case.

      I thought that at least within Diamond Dynasty, it was their version of Challenges (as compared to EA's UT system). I still don't quite get what Missions within Franchise mean even after watching the stream. However, I do not think it is the Sims +XP system that Madden has.

      It does seem that they may be adding a streamlined way to play games like Madden added with Big Moments, where you can basically hop in at certain instances. If done right, that could be a cool feature to get through more of the long season.

      We should get clarification on Missions in Franchise and if they added something like Big Moments during the Franchise stream.
